Having another run at this challenge to push myself out of art block :}

Here's day 1, Jayfeather! He won the voting on my Instagram (rikas_atelier). I always take suggestions for the next day in the Instagram comments, so if you'd like to suggest tomorrow's character, you can do it there! :} It's just easier to keep it all in one place.

Tbh I'm not the biggest Jayfeather fan. He was super fun as a young cat, but lately he's just so... generic. The new team only has him grumpy all the time, and use him as another doomsday sayer - whenever the Clans lose their connection with StarClan or something, he's the first to freak out and snap at people that "We can't live without the guidance of our ancestors!!". It's just sad how they flattened him, and I'm a bit tired of seeing him around.

Anyways, I'll be posting the next characters too :} I'm really hoping to get some niche characters, not just the big fandom favorites - last time, getting to draw Morningflower and Fidgetflake was such a fun change of pace!

Yesterday I finished this addition to my villain portrait series - Ashfur!

Who should I draw next? :)

I really tried to capture his expression the way I imagine it. Not just a regular, small-pupil glare, but rather something softer. I gave him the dilated pupils cats get when they fixate on prey or their favorite toy, and really wanted his vibe to seem adoring in a malicious, uncanny way. I hope I got it right!

Which version do you prefer - the StarClan or Dark Forest Ashfur? :D

Drew this for u/TheHolyPangolin of their OC! :) They had a very concrete idea for this scene and I tried to do justice by it!

It was definitely a tricky perspective to get right without making it look awkward, haha - there's a reason one usually shouldn't take selfies with a low angle like this, it can look silly, which I really tried to avoid >v< It's supposed to be a serious scene, after all.

I also had to bend the laws of physics a little and go more stylized than usual to make this reflection work, because if you've ever tried to see your reflection in a natural puddle, you'll know that they don't exactly give detailed mirror images. Anyways, I hope I managed to capture what the original idea was going for!

I kept his drawing a little simpler because my carpal tunnel is acting up and making it difficult to draw for hours at a time 😂🙈

But yeah that concludes the 6 Fanarts Challenge! I had a ton of fun and I'll definitely do more challenges like this in the future :) And I'm back on my villain portrait series, the next one is almost finished :}

Here's yesterday's cat, Morningflower :) An unusual suggestion haha. I barely remembered her. But she's so pretty! I made her a dilute tortoiseshell because I feel like it fits the "Morning" prefix better than a black tortie.

Here's Brightheart! 👀 Mid-battle, because soft queen poses are done too often for her imo 😌 She's a formidable fighter!

I've been working on a slightly different, more expressive/stylized art style and I'm really happy with how this turned out! Also recorded my first ever time lapse of this drawing, since that function is now available in Photoshop 👀🥰

Just finished this commissioned artwork of the beautiful Cosmos 🥰🌌 This OC was so fun to draw!

I may have gone overboard with the fantasy lighting, is it too much? 🙈 It was so fun though, so I don't regret it!

Went on a hike today and really felt like we discovered real-life ThunderClan territory! :)

Featuring a lake, rock cliffs (actual abandoned quarries in some of these), even something that looks just like the high ledge, and of course beech forests on hills with great views.

Have you also discovered the territories in real life before? 😄

Drew this pretty lykoi boy for u/olyvoyle :) I've never gotten to draw a lykoi before, so that was a lot of fun!
