Hi I am currently replaying all 4 Dragon Age Games I am currently near the beginning of Origins and I have never played the DLCs because I never owned them. (except shale) I was wondering if it was worth playing Leliana’s Song and Witch Hunt. I know that Leliana’s Song is really just background building for Leliana and that Witch Hunt doesn’t really have any major impact on the story. I was curious to know if it was worth playing.
For context for me personally and they are both my favorites characters in the series and my Warden is currently romancing Morrigan.
Help would be appreciated!
EDIT: THANK YOU EVERYONE! I was really expecting people to be very negative towards this post because I’ve definitely experienced negativity on this subreddit so
I appreciate the response and advice it has been amazing!
Watched a bit of the Alpha Gameplay released and I have some issues and some things I enjoyed.
For context I have played since SOD1.
Issues first: The gameplay looked a lil behind both 1&2 both in animations and how it feels to watch. It’s hard to describe but I feel like it lacks style and uniqueness.
Graphically still needs work I under that its under early alpha but also don’t show me the parts that don’t look great. The industrial area looks great but its one of the few places that look finished. The other areas feel empty and lack depth. Almost like looking at a graphic design without any of the small details like an overlay.
The models need work too but to be fair I am also not a huge fan of the models from SOD2.
What I enjoyed:
The sound design is insanely good. They really worked on it and I enjoyed all of the small details with sound.
Difficulty looks a little harder I understand it was early in game but the guy playing almost died to one plague heart which was cool to watch especially since they have become almost a chore to take care of in SOD2
The car handling looks so much better. I’m excited to not have to use the stuck button every time I go off roading.
I feel like the distance between towns/settlements feel a lot more realistic. SOD2’s first maps can feel very empty at times and borderline weird looking. I am happy to see that they really captured the small town feel with new map.
I was curious to see what everyone else thought and if they similar opinions! Feel free to let me know!
