I saw this brooch and wondering what it is. It is made by Gahr Munich and have heard they were prominent in the third reich and made commerative items for the Reich it comes with a copy of the "Gahr" book with an illustration of the brooch but I can't read it, any insite into this item would be greatly appreciated!

I am curipus if these existed as my friend bought one and is adament it is real even though i have showed him several sources that state these were fantasies but I would love second opinions

double edged steel blade with motto 'Meine Ehre Heist Treue' (My Honour is Loyalty) etched to obverse, black wooden handle with nickel cross guard, pommel, eagle and 'SS' roundel, cross guard stamped with SA Gau mark 'he' for Essen held in painted steel scabbard with nickel plated mounts, blade length 22.3 cm

This sword is from an auction house I have heard great things about.
