Updating the game somehow gave it to me.

Just spent the entire exploration age spreading and keeping my religion in every settlement so that I could use the Toshakana dedication to its full potential. I advance to modern and that dedication is completely missing even though I unlocked it. No online resources provide effective solutions, only saying that this is a common problem. I have already tried reloading an earlier save and still nothing.

So apparently slotting your army commander into a fleet commander makes them invisible now. He also still shows in the list of units in the fleet commander. This was a bug I noticed before TOT but then it only made the commander’s units zip back and forth between the fleet and army commander. Now it makes them and the army commander invisible. Wonder when they’ll fix it.

So the age just started and I picked a legacy card that gave me a free infantry unit and ranged unit in all my distant lands settlements. I also took one that changed my capital. As shown in the image, I got a free infantry and ranged unit in my distant lands and home lands settlements. My guess is that the game uses your capital’s location to determine distant lands and since my capital was being moved when the game checked which settlements to put the units in, it assumed all my settlements were distant lands. Either way, free units!
