I asked a while ago about how to prepare ans handly Rogal Dorn as I was blessed with the model for Christmas by my girlfriend.
Although I have not yet started the above (yet) as I am working on a personal challenge, I have instead made the move to create an Horus Heresy Army and have gone with none other than the Imperial Fists.
Now, my question...
How in gods earth do I paint yellow? 🤣
I have tried before with a praetorian but although I was happy with it at the time, i wish to be better 🤣
I've tried slapchop on a free mini but it somewhat looks like a radioactive bright yellow green 😅
Now I have heard that priming in pink works. Does it? Is it just a myth?
Sadly, I dont own or have access to an airbrush to that wont help. BUT, I do have a sunset yellow colour forge rattlecan. Will this help? Do i prime pink first to make the yellow pop?
Any guidance or advice from those who have mastered painting yellow will be a big help 🥹

I know there may have been a surge in Yarrick posts and I am quite late to the party. BUT I wanted to share with you all, my attempt at painting him.
Hopefully I have done him some justice as the original was thr one model I always wanted 😅

I would like to introduce you to our little mitt, Fable. She's going to be 9 weeks old this Sunday and so far has been a gentle but playful little thing (despite going through what I can only explain as the terrible twos).
Me and my other half are wondering and wanted to put the question to you all as to do you think she will be a short hair, medium hair or a longhair cat when she grows into them ears?
Unfortunately, we don't know much about her parents as the seller didn't tell us much. 😕
And thats another squad done!
Now I have two 10 man squads of Intercessors as a basic troop choice, I can now work onto something spicy such as Bladeguard Veterans or Terminators 🤔
Either way, i'm a step closer to being able to play a few games 😊
Hello all,
This has been a lomg time but wanted to ask about the Primarch models. Basically my lovely lady bought me Rogal Dorn for christmas, which I am completely stoked about. He's my favourite Primarch and the Imp Fists are very much my legion.
However, I must admit that I am quite intimidated by the model as I do not wish to screw it up.
So my question.
As it is Resin, do I have to wash the model on soapy water to remove any treating agents at all?
And lastly,
Those who have built and painted Dorn, is thete any advice or guidance you can give me when building him? I really don't want to screw it up
