Wanted to test my self to see if I could get a decent looking marine out in less than 3 hrs ( I usually spend 8-12 per model. This was the result… I think I’ll keep taking my time. Seems like mineral spirits I used for the enamel wash started to dissolve the 3rd party transfers. Meh, lol

Got my judiciar ready, I played my first game last week and I'm hooked. Does anybody know if I can use the named characters from the onslaught box in game? Pretty sure he's just a regular judiciar with a little tweak but it would put me at exactly 1k points and it would fit the lore aspect which is cool.
I’ve been involved in the hobby since 1998; I’ve been building, painting, and playing Blood Ravens since the 5th or 6th Edition. However, ever since the Indomitus Launch Box, I haven’t painted or played Blood Ravens at all—opting instead for Ultramarines and Imperial Fists. It was high time for an update—specifically, to return to painting Blood Ravens and apply my newfound skills. Fittingly, this army is destined for a Crusade campaign that my gaming group is launching, centered around the events of Armageddon.
The bases aren't finished yet, as I’ve ordered some specific bits to create some nice-looking jungle bases for them. I will also apply decals after I have painted my first 1,000 points.
Pretty happy with how the sergeant came out. So nice to paint a squad with no faces. Don't think I'll assemble another helmetless mini ever again lol.
I debated whether i wanted to share this one or not because i am not happy about some of the details but here he is anyway. >!I had four seperate mishaps with super glue AND I am scared of doing further touch ups anyway :P!<
The helmet's a gravis helmet i added some layers of miliput to make it look like a techmarine's with my own touch to it (+a bionic eye)
I reposed the halberd (which was harder than i anticipated) and replaced the upper arm with a terminator's to attempt and give him some more assymetry and to reangle the forearm. It kind of worked it kind of did not.
I also gave him a storm bolter simply because i could.
Had to do a bit of kitbashing for some 9f the models as the KT box is no longer available. C&C welcome.

I think i might finally have gotten the paint schema down, although the base is still a bit too desaturated.
Not too happy with the paint job, but at least the head turned out decent.
Not sure the scheme is there yet. Think i need slightly brighter armor.
Now, there are two left....
