I know that mini painting is a skill and like all skills it requires practice, patience and time. But everytime I look at mine I always think they look terrible. Which fair lets say they do I gotta learn how to do this.

But as I recently rolled over and got a 1k point army I'm outta excuses to go actually play. Which I want to do, and yes I know comparison is the theif of joy. I have met people on the local community and they don't seem like total dicks and would just give good feedback.

Just making myself unnecessarily nervous. So anyone else been through this? Any advice? Or just strap up and go for it?

Love this style for Thor, so cool.

Kinda want a bright blue for fun or maybe just go a more classic metallic.

My Blood Raven Captain is ready for battle. Or as ready as I can make him. The decals I ordered arrived today so my Captain has his chapter markings. I've been a fan of the IP since the Gaunts Ghosts novels came out. Assembled and painted a few sets way back in the day but have finally decided to bite the bullet and actually play the tabletop after all these years.

In point of fact if you'll indulge me brothers, I have been going through a very hard time of it, with my wife addicted to alcohol and my daughter passing away in 2013. I became a total hermit. But no longer, I choose life, I joined a gym a couple years ago and I will now indulge in the kinds of hobbies that interest me like 40k. Been to the local spot, put my 43 year reclusive ass out there and socialised. The local group are all really cool and the place has good vibes. So all positive things, except for my back account in this hobby, but I am now genuinely happier than I have been in awhile.

I was thinking of doing it a very dark purple. Just wondering what colours everyone else did.

Wiccan and Hulkling at the top, I think thats Northstar next with his partner whos name slips my mind.

My impression is that where the Autobot reinforcements lead by Optimus arrived was the original landing plan of the Decepticons infiltration team. The prevention of which is how they were able to raise the defenses and keep them at bay for the night.

The Decepticons were too close however for the main guns to have eliminated them from further out hence why Megatron pressed his attack. He overwhelms the long range guns and after a grueling nights battle has all but wiped out the defenses.

Optimus arrives moments before Megatron lead the final assault, breaching the defenders last line. He really was moments away from final victory. Had the request for aid not gotten through they would have lost the whole city.

Had Starscream continued the attack they could still have rallied and won the day. We see that the Constructicons were still able to merge, despite the deleted scene attack by Ultra Magnus. I agree that they were probably very low on energon and it would have been a major gamble.

Just my rambling thoughts. Would like to hear everyone elses opinions.

All the name changes are throwing me off. But as a dyed in the wool DoW2 fan I would get a real kick outta making these squads for the tabletop. Including the Dreadnought. I got a box of Interessors for the Tactical Squad and know that Devastators are now called Eliminators.

I guess my question is what squads best fit these now?

Got bit by the bug to finally actually play this game after just reading heaps of the novels and a deep love for the Dawn of War games. Certainly a good first step as getting over that first hurdle of putting paint onto plastic took quite a bit.

Wow they seem super tight, wanna make them more relaxed with a little give in between it at all possible.
