my review of tuesdays with morry by mitch albom
tuesdays with morrie was a warm read, alright. it reminded me of all the things i already knew, but didn't follow. which brings me to another point, morrie's view on life was very well anti-capatalistic adjacent. but here is the catch—it was rather from a pedestal. it talked about the intermediate stuff, it talked about the problems in our society, but not about what set the system up and what keeps in intact. you know—the rat race, consumerism, the hollow pursuit of wealth, negligence of the importance of community—these all are anti-capatalistic themes but he never looked onto the systemic roots. well, fair enough, i'd say. he did struggle with poverty, and made it out of his hardships by his own hardwork. went against the expectations, became a teacher—it is more about personal transformation, instead of assessing the collective humanity of it all. personal resistance, not structural. he focuses on a more individualistic notion—yes, he did talk about what we owe each other as just human beings, but in a way that remains somewhat surface-level, not threatning the system at all, but just softening the edges. again, obviously, i wasn't expecting a radical book—but this kind of put me on the edge when i discovered that the story had all these potential themes while just laying them down away from the main point. ultimately, this book does humanize you without challenging you deeply—and i guess that where it's stregth and weakness both lie. also why it is so successful, marketable and a best-seller. i would give it 3.5/5 stars and it is a very good read to open up to what it means to be someone who want to contribute to the society, meaningfully. and it does offer an insight beyond what the usual modern life has become.

which is better, savana or jewelrymars for quality and durability for accessories?
savana has more reviews and higher ratings, but i wanted to know other's experiences of shopping from these sites. also, what is the deal about tarnishing, especially regarding silver jewellery?
if someone has online stores that sell similar jewellery like i've shared in this post and offer cash on delivery, please suggest.
What songs do you personally associate with Project Hail Mary?
for me, besides the ones in the movie of course, it is 500 miles, under pressure, bitter sweet symphony and heroes. i feel these songs really capture the essence of the story, the grandness, the quiet moments, the happy and the sad times, the heart of it all :)
how to get closer and befriend street cats?
1 mama cat and 4 kittens have settled near a street where i live, they seem to trust the chaukidar who's cabin is right beside. they were closed off and got scared when i approached them though. i was thinking to give them food (please suggest some homemade treats), other than that what things can i do to get friendly with them?
