Post-Moxi Product Recs

I got a Moxi laser today and my skin seems to be handling it well. After the treatment she used the Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Mask and sent me home with the mist. I won’t use actives during the healing process, and I think my other usual gentle staples should be pretty solid but curious if I should get anything to support healing more? Any product recommendations to help with healing? Should I use mineral SPF while healing? I use EpiCerum for moisturizer. I also have two more treatments scheduled. TIA!

Am I not cut out for certain lifts?

This sub was so helpful when I came a few months ago asking about my hip thrusts. I incorporated a lot of the recs, ended up getting to 225lbs and have definitely seen my glute strength and size improve. 💪 🍑

I’m back with another question. I am doing a group weightlifting class and we usually do 6-8 week sessions with the same lifts with progressive overloading. I’m doing well with some of the lifts (weighted sit ups, Bulgarian split squats, hip thrusts, bicep curls, tricep extensions, skull crushers). However, recently I have been feeling pain when lifting or the next day (not just general soreness but more like bone or joint pain, as well as back pain). Sometimes it feels like my spine is compressed. I have never experienced this before. We do things like back squats and this causes a hip impingement that is very painful. When I do front squats, my collarbone is uneven so it puts pressure on one shoulder, but it does not impact the hip impingement or hurt my hips. These movements with weight on my back feel really impossible, not just challenging. We pronated rows and even with good form (and a strong core) my back hurts a lot.

I’ve been doing Pilates for about a year and I feel stronger, better overall, my blood sugar is better (I have diabetes), my posture is better, my overall endurance and stamina are better. I started lifting in the weightlifting class mostly for bone health but also just to be a bit stronger. I like the accomplishment of lifting heavy, I definitely want to keep it incorporated into my routine. BUT I am almost 38 and not willing to get injured as a beginner at this point!!

How can I continue to lift heavier as a beginner without injuring myself? What should I do from here? I have been feeling pretty down about this because I see other women lift so heavy and not seem to deal with the same pain as me.

If it’s helpful, I’m 37, F, 120lbs, and 5’3. I do think there’s some anatomy stuff with this too but I don’t know enough to really go into that.

Thank youuuu!

Recs for old microblading work

I did microblading 9-10 years ago and really liked it. I did one touch up about a year after the initial work but haven’t touched them since. They’re quite faded and blueish/grayish now so I want to do something about it. What are people’s thoughts on A) removing them completely; B) doing a retouch/cover up; or C) removing, then starting over? I definitely don’t want 2016 brows, I don’t wear any makeup at all EVER so I like the idea of my-eyebrows-but-better. I’m so nervous about getting them redone and them being OVERdone.

Also, if anyone has artist recs in the Bay Area or Sacramento LMK. Thanks!
