UFG Underwriting Balance

Hey Everyone,

I work for a legacy carrier as a Production UW. I am able to keep pretty solid work life balance, around 40 hours a week and I'm not expected to check email or get calls on my PTO.

I am looking at an opportunity as a Senior Production UW at UFG and I've seen some Glassdoor reviews that raise questions about their worklife balance/underwriter workload.

Does anyone have any experience there/have any insight on the overall workload expectation of their UW's? And any idea if their UW's actually get to unplug on PTO?

I appreciate any insight, its a huge pay swing but I worry the money comes with huge quality of life trade offs.

Referral program

Hey stupid question and apologies if it's not allowed here.

Does Lectric still have their free accessory referral program? Curious as I'm about to buy and looking to add their cargo package.

Appreciate any insight!

CMA Experiences?

Hey everyone, I've gotten kinda tired of having accounts spread all over the place. I'd really like to have a single centralized financial hub.

I use multiple checking accounts for splitting up my expenses and direct deposit.

My 401k is with fidelity as is my IRA so it seems like a good place to do this. But I've heard because a lot of banking operations are farmed out if something does go wrong your often stuck dealing with less helpful and slower non fidelity support. Especially on the debit and ach side of things.

I've also heard deposits clear very slowly.

I'm also considering Schwab or Alliant for my banking hub because they are regular banks in that sense.

Just curious if anyone has any experiences and could help me figure out if putting it all at fidelity is an ok choice.
