Is there a way to “flatten” handwritten ink in GoodNotes without exporting/re-importing?

I switched from Notability and I’m trying to recreate a workflow I used all the time.

For example, let’s say I hand-draw a table with the pen tool. Once I’m done, I want to “lock” or flatten that drawing so I can write inside the cells without accidentally erasing the table.

In Notability, I could essentially paste it as a non-editable object (like an image), so the eraser would only erase my new handwriting—not the original table.

Here’s a quick example of what I mean:

  • Left: Original handwritten drawing.
  • Middle: Copied as editable ink (eraser removes the strokes).
  • Right: What I’m looking for—a pasted version that behaves like a single image/object, so the eraser can’t erase individual strokes.

(Image attached.)

Is there any way to do this entirely within GoodNotes, without exporting the page as a flattened PDF or image and then re-importing it?

If not, is there another workflow you use for creating reusable templates like hand-drawn tables?

Why is my iPad line the only one with a $2.10 fee?

I noticed my T-Mobile bill has a $2.10 Regulatory Programs & Telco Recovery Fee on my iPad line, but not on my two phone lines.

The iPad was bought outright from Best Buy (not through T-Mobile), and there are no promos or financing.

Not complaining about getting charged 😂—just wondering why only the iPad line has this fee. Is this normal for tablet/data-only lines?

Update: Phone lines are on 5G Go More since 2023, I recently got the iPad in May 2026.

VR&E Enrollment & Course Completion Reporting Question

For those using Chapter 31 VR&E, do you normally contact your counselor after enrolling in classes and again after completing them? Or does the school automatically report everything to the VA? Just curious what others are expected to do.

Has anyone here successfully gotten a discharge upgrade, especially in Florida? Trying to figure out where to start and what helped your case. Did you use a lawyer, VSO, or do it yourself? Any advice would be appreciated 🇺🇸

from a General discharge.
