Bluetooth remote to turn pages!!!

So I wanted to buy a tiny keyboard or remote to control my Palma
(and soon I'll buy another larger Boox tablet) that makes the reading experience effortless.
I have a kindle PW as well and not being able to connect any bluetooth device other than headphone is so disappointing, I "need" to touch the screen every few seconds because I like large font size... as you can see :)
Then I remembered that I already have a volume remote on my motorcycle!
And it work! I'm so happy with this hack.

Note Air 3 B&W - VS - Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi

Which one should I get?

BOOX Note Air 3 B&W (2nd hand) — $270
BOOX Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi — $450–500

  • Mainly for reading
  • Care about sharp text so 227 PPI vs 300 PPI worries me.
  • Not mainly for writing, but heard the pen experince of the Lumi is a bit off, so don't want to pay extra and end up with a bad writing experince.

TL;DR
Is the Air 3 good enough for reading, or is the Go’s sharper screen worth the extra $? Also how is the Go Lumi pen experience?

Thanks

Air 3 ppi

I have an opportunity to buy a 2nd hand air 3 b&w with backlight

( I mention backlight because I saw a review of an air 3 model which didn't had back light....??)

Anyway, I wonder if the 227 ppi screen will bother me or not,
I'm currently having kindle paper white 12th gen and I love the screen,
I want another large screen that I can connect a keyboard to, mainly for reading books. I know it's heavy and not comfortable to hold, I'm planning place it on a stand.

should I get this air 3? or search for a 300 ppi option

thanks

Palma 1 vs 2

Hi all,

I recently bought my first eReader — a Kindle Paperwhite — and loved the experience. Now I want a smaller device, and after a lot of research I landed on the Boox Palma 2 (B&W).

The problem is I can’t find it locally. I can only find the 1st gen Palma or the Palma 2 Pro (color), and I’m not interested in the color version.

So I’m wondering:

  • Is the 1st gen Palma still good enough in 2026?
  • Or is it worth waiting for the Palma 2?

I could ask my brother abroad to get me the Palma 2, but that may take months.

From what I understand, the main differences are Android 11 vs 13 and the fingerprint button, which I don’t really care about.

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Palma 1 vs 2

Hi All

I bought my first eReader recently, a Kindle PW, and fell in love with the experience,
I want to get another small one, and after a long research I set my eyes on the Palma 2 (B&W), the thing is I can't find it, I can find the 1st gen or the Palma 2 Pro - locally from a known store, I don't want the color version so that leaves me with the 1st gen Palma,

My question is
- Is the 1st gen Palma good enough? I can buy it today locally, from a known business,
- Or should I make an effort and be patient to get the 2nd version?
(That could take a while - my brother who lives abroad can buy it for me, but that can take a few months until I get it)

According to my research it has an old android OS, compared to the Palma 2 (11vs13)
and a fingerprint button which I don't want or need anyway.

Any info would be appreciated

Thanks.

Hi, I’m 44. I started taking Concerta in my late 20s, used it for 2–3 years (only on work/study days), and then stopped.

In the past couple of years I started again — first only on workdays, but recently I’ve been taking it almost every day, including weekends, because I still find it helpful (reading, organizing, etc.).

Sometimes I wonder if that’s “too much,” though I don’t feel dependent — I’ve skipped a day here and there with no real problem.

What’s your routine (or your kids’)?
Every day, only work/school days, or occasionally?

Thanks

Hi,

I’m looking for a free radio alarm clock solution—something like the old-school clocks that turn on a radio station instead of a standard alarm sound.

Right now, every morning after my alarm goes off, I manually turn on my favorite radio station. I tried automating this using Shortcuts, but the best I managed was opening a URL. The issue is that all the links I found start muted, so I still have to manually unmute them.

Has anyone found a way around this or knows of a better solution?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
