Need help choosing UOL BSc Professional Accountancy modules

Hi everyone,

I recently received my offer letter for the University of London BSc Professional Accountancy programme and am planning to register for the remaining modules soon. I would really appreciate guidance from students who are currently pursuing the degree or have already completed it.

As far as I understand, the remaining components are:

  • Performance Management (PM)
  • Financial Management (FM)
  • Research/Applied Project

I’m a bit confused about the best order in which I should register for the modules.

  • Is it better to start with only 1 module or take 2 together?
  • Should I register for FM and PM together, or complete them one by one?
  • Can I register for PM now and then take FM and the project together later?

Anyone here who is currently pursuing this programme? I would really appreciate hearing your experiences and recommendations regarding the best order of modules.

What was your resignation experience like? Smooth exit or awkward shutdown?

Came across this image somewhere and it honestly made me think about how resignations are handled here.

In my experience (and from what I’ve seen around), the moment you put in your notice, things can change pretty quickly — access gets restricted, conversations become formal, and sometimes people just stop interacting the same way.

I understand companies have security reasons, but the sudden shift in behavior always feels a bit strange, especially if you’ve been working with the same team for a long time

Curious to know —has anyone here had a smooth or positive exit experience in India? Or was it more like this?

Would be interesting to hear real stories.

I’m planning to buy a Comprehensive car insurance policy for my Hyundai Xcent 2019 petrol (driven 50,000+ km). It will cover both own damage and third-party liability, and I’ll be opting for cashless claims as well.

There are multiple add-ons offered by insurers to enhance the overall coverage for my car. I’m looking to pick the right add-ons to ensure maximum coverage for possible risks.

I have a few specific questions:

  • Is a voluntary deductible worth it? If yes, what amount makes sense?
  • Which add-ons are actually useful for a my car?
  • Which add-ons should I skip?

I have also got list of add-ons and deductible options below - would appreciate help in figuring out what to keep and what to drop.

1. Plan Type

  • Comprehensive Plan

2. Add-ons (Riders)

  • 24x7 Roadside Assistance
  • Zero Depreciation (Bumper-to-Bumper)
  • Engine Protection Cover
  • Consumables Cover
  • Key & Lock Replacement
  • Return to Invoice
  • Tyre Protection
  • Loss of Personal Belongings
  • Daily Allowance
  • No Claim Bonus Protection

3. Accident Covers

  • Owner-Driver Personal Accident Cover
  • Paid Driver Cover
  • ₹1L / ₹2L unnamed passenger cover options

4. Accessories Cover

  • Electrical Accessories
  • Non-Electrical Accessories

5. Deductibles

  • ₹2.5k / ₹5k / ₹7.5k / ₹15k voluntary deductible options
  • Anti-theft Device Discount

A Rapido driver recently showed me his rate card, and I found it quite interesting, so sharing it here.

I’ve attached screenshots of the full breakdown for different categories like Bike, Bike Metro, Bike Boost, Scooty, and Parcel Delivery.

What I found interesting is how much these small details affect what they actually earn.

  • Waiting time only starts after a few minutes
  • Extra pay for long pickups is limited
  • Cancellation charges are quite low
  • Night fare and surge depend heavily on demand
  • There’s also a fixed commission per order + GST

When you think about fuel costs, traffic, and idle time between rides, the real earnings might be very different from what people assume.
