Hi everyone! I’m new to the travel agent world. I am looking for some advice from fellow travel advisors.
I’m planning a trip to Costa Rica for this November and my clients had originally planned on splitting the trip between two destinations to get a good mix of rainforest/mountains and beach time.
The total budget is under $4,000 for two people, including flights.
As I’ve started researching, I’m wondering if it would make more sense to stay at one property that offers a bit of both instead of dealing with longer transfers. If you have recommendations that can accommodate the two in one please share them.
I’m also curious about domestic flights. Are they a practical way to cut down transfer times between destinations, or do most of you still recommend driving?
If you’ve planned similar itineraries or have favorite destination/hotel pairings that fit this budget, I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance!
Trying to plan a Costa Rica trip for my birthday this November and would love some advice!
My budget is under $4,000 total for two people (including flights). We’d love a pretty even mix of rainforest/mountain adventures and beach time, but I’m not sure if it’s better to stay at one resort that offers both or split the trip between two different areas.
I’ve looked into places like La Fortuna and the Pacific coast, but the transfer times seem pretty long. Are there any hotel/resort recommendations that fit this budget and give a good balance of both? Or are there any domestic flights that make splitting the trip easier and save time?
Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Wondering how reta should be stored?
What is the shelf life pre BAC and post BAC titration?
I have Reta and I am nervous to start due to potential side effects and just it not being FDA approved. Im new to this so im just looking for any advice on what dose to start at/ how to avoid side effects/ if I should let my primary care know/ how often to get blood work done/ etc.
Hey everyone! I’m planning on starting reta soon and was looking for some advice from people who have experience with it.
I’m 5’2” and currently around 175 lbs. I don’t really have a goal weight in mind… I care more about body composition than the number on the scale. My goal is to lose a significant amount of body fat while also building as much muscle as possible.
For those who have had success:
-What did you do to preserve or build muscle while losing weight?
-How much protein were you aiming for?
-What kind of lifting routine worked best?
-Did you find it difficult to eat enough because of the appetite suppression?
Also, for someone just starting, what dose did you begin with, and how did you decide when to increase it? I know everyone responds differently, but I’d love to hear what worked for you.
Thanks in advance!
Hey! I finished the 5-day Salkantay Trek on June 19 and since then I really haven’t been able to stop coughing. I noticed I definitely wasn’t the only one coughing on the trek, but I’m starting to get nervous because I feel like it should’ve gone away by now.
On top of that I just feel kind of off overall. My body feels weak, my head kind of hurts, and I keep going between feeling hot and cold. I also woke up with some back pain today, but I think that’s probably just from the bed because that’s happened before.
Has anyone else experienced this after the trek? I didn’t get altitude sickness at all and stayed on top of taking Diamox, so I’m wondering if it’s just from the cold, dry air or if I happened to catch something along the way.
Just curious if anyone else dealt with this and how long it took to go away.
This was my first big hike so I’m just not sure what’s normal or not.

I’m looking into starting reta and had a couple of questions for those with experience.
For someone completely new, is it generally recommended to start with the lowest available dose and titrate up, or is there a different approach people have found works best?
Also
Has anyone used DankKing BioHealth before? It was recommended to me, but I’d love to hear firsthand experiences regarding product quality, consistency, customer service, and overall reliability.
I’m not looking for medical advice, just trying to learn from others experiences before making any decisions. Thanks in advance!
I recently bought a 70L backpacking pack, and I’ve been told it’s a good idea to put it inside a duffel/travel cover when flying so the straps and buckles don’t get damaged if I have to check it etc. My concern is that I’ll be backpacking afterward and won’t have much extra space to carry a bulky duffel around. Do people actually do this, and if so, are there any inexpensive travel covers or packable duffel-style bags that fold down small enough to stash in my pack once I arrive? Most of what I’ve found online are rain covers, but I’m looking for more of a protective airline travel cover that fully encloses the pack.
Any recommendations or general advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
I am going to Peru next week and I was just looking for recommendations on what to do/take for altitude sickness so I can prevent it as best as possible, thanks!
I have a duck that made a nest of 9 eggs in my backyard. I currently have a trail cam set up, but I’m not sure it’s working properly. I’m looking to buy a new trail cam that’s inexpensive but reliable enough to capture the mother returning to the nest and hopefully the ducklings hatching. It would be awesome if it could connect to my phone for live viewing or easy access to footage.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
I’m heading to Peru in June 2026 and I’ve decided to take on the 5-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. I’ve never done a trek like this before, so I’m looking for any advice or recommendations, especially on what to pack and how to prepare etc.
I’ve heard a lot about altitude sickness, but I’ll actually be in Peru for about 2 weeks beforehand for a medical fellowship, so I’m hoping that helps me acclimate a bit. Still, I’d love any tips on managing altitude, pacing, or things you wish you knew before going.
Also open to gear suggestions, must-bring items, or anything you think is easy to overlook!
Thanks in advance :)
Hey I have been seeing a lot abut reta lately and I just wanna know from people who have taken it what are the side effects you experiences other than weight loss? I know it’s not FDA approved so I’m just trying to figure out if it’s relatively safe to take I guess.
