I was wondering if there would be anything different about the democratic coalition that would prevent a single leader from exercising a virtual chokehold over the party for a decade plus following an outsider campaign to take 2028 by storm. It’s been such a common trope for a while now and yet I don’t think anyone’s looked into whether or not something like that is even possible.

The examples aren’t particularly relevant just the types of schools I’m talking about. I don’t get why some people think the lower acceptance rates at the LACs makes them intrinsically better value education than large publics especially considering the disparity in total cost of attendance when most people outside of elite academic circles have never heard of even the very elite LACs.
