Looking for Scottish people in Liege/Seraing

Hi!

I’m a journalist in Scotland and I’m looking to find any Scottish people who live in Liege and hopefully Seraing in particular.

The new Scotland national team manager is from there and I was hoping to speak to them abut the new connection.

Thanks!

Kevin Kelsy attributes

Hey,

Hope you’re well!

My side Rangers have this morning been linked with a move to sign Kevin Kelsy.

Whether it’s true or not I don’t know! But the reported interest came from a reputable source and we’ve already shopped in the MLS market this transfer window.

I just wondered how highly you rate Kelsy and what his biggest strengths are? I wasn’t sure if he was a fast and mobile 6 ft 4 forward as that’s what we’re looking to sign after losing that profile of player to an ACL injury a few days ago.

Interested to know if you think he’d excel in European football and end up at a bigger club within a few years.

Thanks!

Balance question (pending transactions)

Hey, I know this is a dumb question most likely! But I’m relatively new to using credit cards and just wanted to check something.

Basically, I made some purchases online this weekend (between Friday night and Sunday evening) on my credit card and it looks like these amounts are reflected on my credit card balance.

However, I’ve also made some payments into my credit card to reduce the balance over the same time period. However, my balance hasn’t reflected these yet even though they’re showing in pending.

On a weekend, is it normal for purchases to show in pending and reflect in your balance, but for payments into your account to show in pending but NOT yet be reflected in your balance.

I was trying to figure out the math in case I’ve missed something but I assume my balance will lower tomorrow since it’s a working day and reflect the payments in I’ve made?

Thanks!

Midsummer!

Hey! Did anyone go to the opening show last night? I see there’s another one this evening before they take it to the festival in Edinburgh next week. Just wondered if you’d recommend?

Also, does anyone know what character Suri is portraying? I read stories saying she’s in the show but don’t see her in any casting lists.

Thanks!

Arnold Clark issues

Hi,

I was looking for any advice you can offer.

I’ve got all my cars on PCP deals via Arnold Clark since I got my first car around 10 years ago.

A few months ago they called me and told me that they had a customer who was looking for the specific car I had at the time.

So they said that could offer me a particularly good deal to get me in another car.

I was paying £330 a month, and it came out in two separate payments of £290 and £40. The £40 was a personal loan for the negative equity I still had when I switched to the previous car.

The new car came to £365 a month on the understanding they’d settle both elements of the previous finance agreement.

I’ve still been getting chased by the previous finance company for the £40 a month payments as Arnold Clark never paid the settlement figure for that element.

I got an email from them today basically saying that they weren’t going to pay it and that I must have signed the paperwork (digitally) where it would have specified this.

I pointed out that I actually had to get to the branch later because they had made other errors and that I was rushed because the salesperson had other customers and was actually finishing up for holidays that night.

I made it clear that it made no sense (when they called me) that I’d take on a more expensive car and also want to pay £40 a month for a car I no longer had.

Interestingly, the finance company are on my side. They have on record that Arnold Clark requested a settlement figure for the personal loan twice. This obviously proves that them saying they didn’t know I expected them to pay it is nonsense.

The finance company has put any payments on hold and said they will do a data alteration so my credit rating isn’t impacted. And they’ve said they would help me complain to the motor’s ombudsman.

I’ve since emailed Arnold Clark again and said either I want them to settle the loan asap or I’d rather just hand my new car back to them, I’ll pay the £40 a loan myself, and just have a complete break from Arnold Clark after being shafted by them.

I wondered if you guys had any advice, buzz words, or things I should reference to ensure I’m treated fairly here?

Thanks!
