Hi everyone! I’m about to trade my modern grails + €3,300 for my ultimate dream card: an Espeon Gold Star PSA 6!
What do you think of this trade? Do you think the long-term value of the Gold Star will eventually outperform the value of these modern cards?

Hi everyone! I have the opportunity to trade my modern grails (raw, but with a good shot at psa 10s) for an umbreon gold star.
The trade value of my cards would be around €15k moonbreons, rayquaza vmax alt art, sunbreon, etc (all raw)
I’m really tempted to do it because this is a rare opportunity to get my absolute dream card, especially since the owner lives close to me. On the other hand, some of my modern cards are extremely clean, and if they come back as psa 10s, their combined value could increase significantly.
My biggest concern is that the gold star market will continue to rise. If i wait until my cards come back from psa, i’m worried the umbreon will have appreciated even further, making a trade like this impossible for me.
What do you guys think? do you see the prices of top-tier vintage gold stars continuing to rise, or do you think a correction is likely at some point?
and most importantly, what would you do in my situation: take the umbreon now and secure my dream card, or send the modern cards to psa first and potentially risk the umbreon becoming more expensive?

Hi guys! I’m interested in buying this card from someone. He’s willing to accept €1450. The only thing wrong with the card are 2 white spots on the backside (circled in red on last picture). Could this knock the PSA grade down more then a PSA 9? Thanks for the advice!

I got back into Pokémon collecting about five years ago, and since then I’ve pulled and bought a lot of great cards. Up until now, I’ve never really cared about grading because I just enjoy having them all together in my binder.
However, with the value of many of these cards increasing so much, I’m starting to consider grading some of them and selling a few. Almost all of them are in NM condition (except for the Gold Star Latias), and I genuinely think several of my best cards have a chance at getting a PSA 10.
My biggest concern is sending such a valuable collection to a grading company. I’ve also read quite a few negative stories about PSA, which makes me a bit hesitant.
Would it be a mistake to use another grading company if my goal is to sell the cards afterward? I know PSA 10s usually have the highest prices and are the easiest to sell, so I’m wondering if it’s still worth considering companies like BGS or CGC.
Or would you send the cards with the highest PSA 10 potential to PSA and use another company for the rest?
