Is the world of audio description something that's too saturated already, in terms of number of voice actors? I've been a voice actor for about 4 years and this genre always intrigued me but I also don't know if AI is starting move into this world either.
I got an email from Voices saying my membership expires in a few weeks. When I click on renew, it's offering me $100 off if I "renew early" but doesn't tell me how long I have to use this code. Do you know... is this code good until the day BEFORE my membership auto renews? I want to delay as long as I can but not get charged the full amount.
I used Voice123 a couple of years ago and didn't renew my membership when it expired, so I'm on the free tier. And because of that, I NEVER get auditions. But yesterday I received an audition request from someone and in the description they said that when I respond I should include my email address (makes sense) and my WhatsApp number... and that's when I thought "huh?" They shouldn't need that, right?

Hi! I'm a 50 year old white female with fairly long hair. I have some greys coming in but every 4 - 6 months I get partial highlights (I would do it more frequently if I had the money). Because of my age I've noticed my hair is getting more oily. I generally wash it every other day.
Can anyone recommend a shampoo and conditioner for daily use (well, for every other day use)? Something I can buy at Target or CVS that's $12 or less per bottle. Thank you!
Hi! I have a flight booked on American from Albany to Charlotte and then need to catch a connecting flight to LAX. The flight from Albany will land at 1:56 and the next flight is at 2:33. Yes, I know... very, very close. I checked recent flights and the first flight will most likely land in the B area, while my next flight will most likely take off in the C area. Is this doable if I'm doing carryon only?
I graduated college over 25 years ago. I've been applying for jobs and have noticed some ask for my college GPA. I honestly do not remember what it was so I've just been guessing. I know it's somewhere between 3.0 - 3.49 because I didn't graduate cum laude.
So my question to HR folks is.... how important is this? If you've seen I graduated that long ago, are you all verifying this with the university if you're going to give me an offer? Are you checking and I, therefore, need to contact the university to find out? Thank you!
Can anyone provide feedback on getting dental work done at UCLA dental school? I know it can be a much more affordable option, as I don't have dental insurance. If you got a mouthguard through them, for example, how did it go and how much did it cost?
When you're working with a new client and they reach out with a potential project (asking for an audition from you) do you ask them for a budget before you give them your fee, or do you just tell them the fee (after having all the specs needed)?
Recently I had two different companies write me back (after I reached out to them initially) and asked me to provide an audition and a quote... which I did... and it was too high for both of them so they said no thanks.
The thing is, I don't know how much higher than their budget. It made me wonder if I should have asked them their budget first, because if their budget was $100 and I'm quoting $400 then I'd feel better that it didn't work out. If their budget was $300 I might've actually agreed to that rate. So basically.... in your experience, who shows their cards first?

If you're not making a full time living in VO, what do you do for a living? I've been out of "non vo" work for over a year... I had been in a sales type job (non commission). After that ended, since I had already been doing vo I thought I'd give it the full-time whirl. I've booked some work, made some money, but I need more steady income. This economy is killing me.
I know the job market is awful right now, but I'm trying to evaluate what I want to do and would love some inspiration. In a perfect world I would do a job that allows me to WFH (so I can still get auditions in at a decent hour). Spam me with your "pay the bills" job title!
