Kunal Kushwaha or Striver's A to Z for DSA? (1st-year Mech student trying to switch/start)

Hey everyone,

I am currently a 1st-year Mechanical Engineering student. I am a complete beginner to programming and tech in general, but my goal is to build strong fundamentals and prepare hard to land a tech placement.

Right now, I am trying to figure out the best path forward for Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) in Java. I am torn between two massive resources:

  1. Kunal Kushwaha's Java + DSA Playlist
  2. Striver’s (Take U Forward) A to Z DSA Course/Sheet

My current situation: I have watched the first 7 to 8 videos of Kunal Kushwaha's playlist. I like how he explains things step-by-step from the absolute basics (like flowcharts and pseudocode), which is great since I have zero coding background. However, I keep seeing Striver's A to Z sheet highly recommended everywhere for interview readiness and structured practice.

i have also tried 5-6 easy question in leetcode by java would it be fine to switch to c++??? please guide
