I called 911 on the driver, cops got them before they hit someone. Left lane is blocked with the car stopped.

My community college struggles with student engagement, events are sparse. I just want some insight from people who go to colleges that are engaged with their students. What kind of events does the school or clubs put on? Whats been your experience with a school that has an active student life? It’s something I want to bring up with my school and I want outside perspectives. I feel a lack of community, I want more community.

Onto my post, I have 2 senior cats with growing health issues as they age. This last year I lost my job and am unemployed. I was taking them to four corners, they have been expensive out of pocket for an exam and it’s hard to pay for 2 wellness plans. My cats deserve good care. I need vet recommendations that are inexpensive, can take payment plans if it comes to it, and are good with senior cats that have moderate to severe anxiety at the vet. Both have carrier trauma and get non recognition aggression after the vet. One gets medicated before going. I want a vet that isn’t anti vax either.

Update on the glove I got a good deal on a 12.5 inch Rawlings liberty advanced fast pitch, someone in a local group recommended it to me.

I did play today, I could feel the secure snug glove hug my hand. Today I played 2B, I felt overall more control with the ball. It definitely needs more breaking in. Crucial plays were made thanks to not having a floppy pancake glove. It’s funny, this glove is still sorta big on me, but I do feel more supported. I didn’t need a 14 inch after all. I appreciate this sub’s help on finding a glove.

Next up is a bat, preferably 34” 25-26oz composite. Wish me luck on that.

It’s not Friday rant day yet but I came across a post on Facebook from Cluckin Dog needing support.

All of the small businesses there are struggling due to the ongoing construction. It’s very frustrating to see Cluckin Dog needing to crowdfund because the city allowed the apartment construction to bottleneck 13th Ave. As of June 20th the city has received 11 complaints regarding the construction projects being a nuisance. This isn’t against more housing, it’s simultaneously demolishing UD and building Flock 13. The area already is compact and tight for parking.

If anyone can please give Bree’s Way, Cluckin Dog, Sy’s, Sweet Basil Express, Webfoot, Springhouse, and any other small businesses in the area struggling some love. We already lost Caspian, Maple Garden, Oregon Colors, and Espresso Roma for Flock 13.

Aloha, my husband and I didn’t do thorough enough research for Haleakalā Summit. We got there around 1pm today with a lot of cloud cover above the summit. I want to make it up to him by going at a time with less cloud cover from the inversion layer tomorrow. Is after 7am or sunset better this time of year?
