Sands of Time: Paths – Gold Medal

I'm currently working on earning gold medals for each of the individual paths. Does anyone know the specific time requirement to earn the gold medal for an entire path? I've already got gold on the first path, even though I've only achieved gold on 3 out of the 5 missions within it. My total time for that path was 3 hours, against a target time of 6:05 hours. In this case, the requirement seems to be roughly half of the target time—is that the rule across the board? Is the gold medal always awarded for finishing in half the target time?

Senseless Killing at Extract

Can someone explain to me why you'd kill someone in Extract if you can't even loot them afterward? It ruins the fun for others, and you don't get anything out of it yourself. In my opinion, that shows you're a pretty nasty person in real life. Or is there a reason for this that I'm not aware of? And why can't you see who killed you?
