Now I've done some thinking on Bunny's character, while we haven't seen much of him it's clear he'll play a huge role in the story later on. This thought came about when I was looking back on the nations descriptions at the start of the neo-egoist league, they were described as "A league where flashy technique and artistic dribbling are valued above all" This got me thinking why wouldn't kaneshiro make the spanish newgen 11 an artsy dribbler like Bachira or Lavinho? However I reminded myself art isn't always romantic and beautiful.
Simply, I decided to take a look at the work of spanish artist Francisco specifically his "black paintings" these pieces are dark and foreboding depicting satanic rituals and witchcraft. His most famous piece "Saturn devouring his sun" as I was thinking to myself, Imagining iglesias as this dark destroyer crushing peoples dreams to fulfill his own satisfaction it got me thinking of blue locks own destructive monster.
Rin Itoshi. Rin Itoshi's character is defined by destruction, if Sae's this simple logical destruction, and Bunny's is cruel sadistic destruction, Rin's destruction has no bounds. He's like the Kaiju in a monster movie no matter what he will take center stage and destroy everything. He's been like this since he was little. When Sae originally went to spain on Madrids youth team, he probably encountered Iglesias on one of the many youth league el classico's with iglesias crushing him with cruel destruction when he went back to japan, he took the role of midfielder offering the striker option up to a true destroyer Rin Itoshi. However Rin's destructive tendencies were a mere childs fantasy by then. Rin moved on, and started replicating his brother so much that his originality was lost. That's why Sae lost faith in japan, and why he praised Isagi for awakening Rin's instincts. We already know Kaneshiro is setting up development for Rin, especially after the france match and his benching. I think spain is obviously an Itoshi game.
That's where Rin moves on from his brother and becomes a true rampaging monster or maybe not lol. idk

(I'm going to be talking about Shin Godzilla 2016)
Now most of the discourse and talk I've seen about this film centers ENTIRELY on "Shin Godzilla" the Kaiju and while I do like this take on the monster I think it's organic and fleshy look fits perfectly with the movie's darker and gritty tone I really hate how this is the SOLE discourse on the movie. I think it really just boils poor Shinny into the "scary godzilla" and doesn't really engage with the movie at all. Now I do think this all from 12 year old larpers because I know if I watched that movie when I was 12 and a godzilla fan I'd be bored asf
(Seen Gojira 1954, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 1974, Godzilla vs Ghidorah 1991, Godzilla vs Mothra 1992, Godzilla against Mechagodzilla 2002 and all the legendary movies so I'm not a larp)
Anyway while I think shin godzilla's forms and destruction really cool and super well done it's not really the most interesting part of the movie. The real "theme" of the movie is how inefficient the bureaucracy is when dealing with an actual natural disaster. I really love this and I love when media takes a super insane concept and treats it like a real event. Shin Godzilla uses monster as a representation of a natural disaster just like the 1954 movie did and I really think it handled that super well.

First of all, why the hell is shidou in goal??? And gagmaru is playing striker??? He's just switching around hundreds of chapters worth of player progression? And why is isagi a defender?? I get that the whole thing is too prove himself as a number one but why put him at centerback??? Aiku and Aryu as midfielders?? They're only thing is heading the ball and why the HELL is kiyora jin still playing???

I'm just gonna be as straight forward as possible maho was the only thing bringing this team back to back championships. She deserves to be in the goat conversation because what the FUCK is this black forest team doing?? Even with her they failed to win 2 times in a row. (first one was unfortunate, ref should've intervened when koume was drowning) second however, this team went band for band with an oorai team full of role players and plumbers. I agree with the head canon that shiho actually didn't want miho to leave because holy shit if I saw this team I'd see that Maho and Miho are the only ones actually worth ANYTHING.
Now there's a lot of Erika fans for some reason but I'm just gonna say it she is easily the most OVERHYPED commander in the entire series. Her only on screen wins are against the "mighty" pravda and her only purpose is too suck up all the screen time at the end of every das finale.
I gotta question Shiho's coaching methods if I was in that lockerroom knowing the upper limits of this team I think I'd flay erika alive and use her as an example.

This is wayyy harder then I thought cuz there's noway the creators had any real life players in mind when making these characters. That's all fine n stuff but its fun too try to draw connections in the real life sport.

Now I was looking over the das finale tournament bracket to slander Kuromorimine but then I was looking and Oorai has had the EASIEST path to the final imaginable. First they draw BC freedom which I mean they're okay? Somehow put in a baller performance against Oorai until some "internal struggles" Led to their downfall. Next was Chi hi tan which lets be honest is horrible they were learning basic tactics on the FLY and somehow Oorai was struggling against them??? How do you almost lose to a team that could've lost to Koala forest??? The strongest opponent they faced up until now was Jatsoka (which is basically js pravda B team) Miho got sniped immediatly and Azusa had to carry (lowk can't slander her that was a baller performance). Kuromorimine faced Pravda in the second round which could've been a final and St gloriana faced anzio, which like thats chi hi tan level so I can't glaze. and Kuromorimine vs St Gloriana also could've been a final. Oorai sucks dude there's no way in hell Miho Plotzumi is winning against this super team. I refuse to believe this.
HOWEVER if it ends with Miho down and Azusa has to 1v1 Alice that'd be straight peak and I will not complain.
