When did Pete start looking up to Don and becoming loyal to him?

I know this scene in particular, was when he went all in for Don. But I kinda felt like he must've still been loyal to Don before that, since he helped Don with all that Government issue. Or did it just happened gradually?

In somewhat of a career crossroad

Need advice cause I’m afraid I’m gonna make a horrible mistake that’s permanent.

M(24), currently working a hybrid job as an Event designer/Architect. Been working since 18, first Intern Graphic designer. Then, full time Graphic designer. And a 3 month internship as an architect before I got my current job.

The problem is I have a BA in architect. Kinda love doing it, too. Not so much as a graphic designer, but it’s do-able. Right now, I just got an opportunity for a Senior event designer job than pays 50% more than what I’m making. Currently I’m at 430$, but I have a lot of obligations at home. So I’m just living from paycheck to paycheck. But with this new job I’ll be making 650$, which is enough for me to be comfortable.

I’m wondering If I’m making a terrible mistake moving away from a career I majored in. Though, the job market sucks for architect right now, some of my friends still couldn’t find a job in the industry, even 2 years after graduation.

If anyone’s been in a career crossroad before, please share me your thoughts.

I Absolutely Love toxic relationship Movies/TV Show. Is there much more content in that sub genre?

Something about this genre is just so thrilling and comical but in a dark way. So far I have:

-Gone Girl

-The Drama

-You S02-S03

-Ginny & Geogia S03

-Dexter with Hannah Mckay

-Dexter with Lila West

Need a recommendation for something similar

Just finished Ginny & Georgia and now I have an itch for more of it. I'm so glad I gave it a second try. Started it a some years ago and dropped it after a couple of episodes. Yesterday, I decided to give it another try because I had nothing to do, and I was hooked after the first season. I especially love the mind games and twists in season 3. When Georgia stared at the pregnancy test in the bin, I was literally howling. Georgia kinda does remind me of the wife from Gone Girl. Which was also one of my favorite.

How do you cure a binge-eating disorder?

I've been struggling with my weight on and off for about 7 years now.

Before that, I could eat whatever I wanted without worrying about gaining weight.

My first real experience with weight gain happened before COVID. In my country, we have a holiday that's about a week long. With nothing to do, I spent the entire week binge-watching a TV show while constantly eating snacks and drinking sugared drinks. When I got back to school, someone said that I looked like I'd gained some weight. That was the first time anyone had called me overweight, and it really stuck with me.

When summer break came around, I joined a gym and lost all the weight, plus a little extra. Just to add some info here, before the holiday I was around 70 kg. During the week off, I gained about 5 kg, then dropped all the way to 66 kg. I was in the best shape of my life. I was able to maintained that weight for the rest of my senior year. That was also the last time my confidence was at peak level.

Then, COVID happened.

Like a lot of people, I suddenly had nothing to do. My family was also struggling financially, so my stress levels were at an all time high. I turned to food as a coping mechanism and started binge eating constantly.

About two years later, I weighed 84 kg.

I had zero confidence and no self-esteem at all, at the time. I wouldn't even look at a girl, or even speak to one if they didn't speak to me first. I just felt so disgusting.

When things finally started returning to normal and my second year of university was ending, I decided I couldn't keep living like that. I started trying to lose weight again.

It took me two tries over four months, but I eventually got down to 67 kg. When I came back for my third year, everyone was shocked. People kept asking how I did it and congratulating me. I was the proudest I've ever been, and my confidence was finally coming back to me.

Unfortunately, it didn't last.

For context, I lost the weight using OMAD (One Meal a Day). I was losing around 2 kg a week. But it also took me two tries because I nearly gave up halfway through the first time.

Anyway, after I lose all that weight. I thought life was just gonna go back to normal, like how it was before Covid. I thought I could just eat whatever I wanted again like I used to. I couldn't be more wrong.

I had never even heard of the yo-yo effect, at the time. Back when I was doing OMAD, I got used to eating huge meals because I only ate once a day. What I didn't realize was that those eating habits stayed with me. Even after going back to eating 2-3 meals a day, I was still eating way too much at each meal. I honestly couldn't tell when I was full until I felt like I could barely move.

About a year and a half later, I was overweight again.

The weight crept up so gradually that I barely noticed it at first. Then one day it just got way too much to lose in a few weeks. This time, I gained even more than before. I was up to 94 kg.

Since then, it's been an endless cycle.

I'll start another weight loss attempt, make some progress for a few weeks, have one cheat meal, and somehow that turns into giving up completely. Then a while later I start another over from scratch.

Right now I'm back down to 84 kg, but I'm still struggling with consistency.

Over the past few months, I've been getting these strong urges to binge eat even when I know full well that I'm not even that hungry. Sometimes I give in, and I regret it as soon as I'm uncomfortably full.

That's really why I'm posting here.

For anyone who's been through something similar, how did you psychologically constrain yourself when you get these crazy urges? It gets so bad sometimes that I even daydream about binge eating.

And even if I do lose all that weight back. how do I keep it from falling into the same cycle again?
