Cones of calibration lies to me?

I've been trying to nail down my settings and I feel like I'm just banging my head against a wall. I can get this printer (saturn 4 ultra 16k) to print reliably, but usually it's by really increasing the exposure time. If I do some calibration using the cones, let's say I get a perfect model where the water easily slides into the mug, sword goes in the skull, fails to go into the two holes, and all the cones connect on the success side and fail on the fail side, my prints will fail. Like the supports might print, but the model will fall off them (if using light supports). Is there something I'm missing? I don't mind upping the exposure, but I feel like it's wearing out my feps faster (I easily get impressions on the fep). Using chitubox if that matters.

Need help with a boss laser hp2440

Buddy of mine got one that wasn't functional because the seller thought it just needed the tube to be replaced. He's trying to get it working but we're having a hard time getting the laser to fire when running a file. A few things:

-The laser fires when he hits the test button on the PSU (tube has not been replaced yet, it has the one that came with it).

-if we run a file, the laser moves as per the file, but the laser does not turn on

-I can feel water moving through the tubes connected to the water chiller, but the green "normal" light is not turned on. If we pinch a tube, the alarm goes off

-he thought the PSU might have been faulty so it was replaced

I know there are interlocks, but is there a list handy that we can check to make sure we're not triggering any of them? Is there a way to narrow down what is preventing this laser from running? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The hoopat got me - leak failure

Started a print before I went to work this morning. Came back to this mess. I've only been using this hoopat for a couple of weeks and I knew there were issues where it leaks, but didn't expect it to happen to a pretty much new vat. How screwed am I? Does chitu cover any damages? Anyone who has dealt with this with a saturn 4 ultra 16k, what do I have to look forward to? Any tips?

Steam Deck Controls through moonlight/apollo

I asked this before but I don't think I was clear enough. Is there a way so that when I'm streaming through moonlight/apollo, that my steam deck is seen as a steam deck and not as a xbox controller? Like I want to be able to set up control schemes for individual games. For example right now I'm streaming FF7 remake. I want to set up the back buttons to do shortcut commands (LB+A,B,X,Y). What I can do right now is change the control layout for moonlight, and it will achieve what I need, but this layout will apply to all games I play through moonlight. I want it so that it happens on the PC side, where the layouts are dependent on the game I am playing at the moment. Does this make sense?

Saturn 4 ultra 16k killed its fep

Long story short, had the saturn for about 3 months when I started getting these weird triangles and then complete print failures. Cleaned out vat and noticed that it had a bunch of triangle impressions all over the fep which seems like the supports from prints have caused. Has anyone else experienced this?

Long story long, I was super excited to upgrade from a mono 4k, and I threw a bunch of prints at it. Was having a blast for about 3 months before I started noticing that prints had these weird little triangles in random places. Then soon after prints would just fail, print files that had successfully worked before. When print failures like this happen, I get discouraged and just bench the printer until I really need it. Well, this all happened about a year ago and finally decided to get it working again. I replaced the vat with the hoopat and when examined and cleared out the old vat I saw that the fep had a bunch of triangle impressions almost everywhere. I narrowed it down to it being the supports from either one bad print or it just built up. I only use chitubox. Is this just the normal life of the fep included with the printer or did I botch something?

Steam controller messing with other devices?

I use a g502 and I noticed that ghub started to act up after I got the steam controller. Like the program hangs and the mouses loses its keybinds. I have the button that's supposed to lower (raise?) dpi when you hold it down bound to a key instead so I can use it during FPSs. It seems to happen if I use the steam controller without launching into big picture mode. And then if I open ghub it gets stuck on the loading screen, even if I terminate the program. Usually have to restart the whole computer. Anyone noticing glitches like this?

Do you give gifts to your doctors?

I just realized it's going to be a decade with my cardiologist. He's technically kept me alive these past ten years, so I thought I would gift him something next time I see him. Is that weird? Normal? What would be too much or too little? Thinking about a wood project.

I haven't really looked into this, but does anyone know if when streaming to the deck using apollo/moonlight, is there a way for the computer to register it as a deck and use the full control set up? At the moment when I'm streaming, I'm forced to use the xbox controls. Not a problem but I feel like I'm missing out not being able to use the trackpads and back buttons. Most likely I'm dumb and doing everything wrong.
