Looking for something good I can listen to without feeling weird that my baby is in the car

I've dabbled on audio dramas since accidentally stumbling on TAMIS and enjoying it immensely until it just stopped. I recently had a baby, and I'm not planning on listening to things that are "kid shows/music" exclusively. But, I'm also not really looking for an audio drama with screaming/sirens, extremely sexual language, or tons of swearing (my kid is about the enter the parrot phase, a word here and there is fine, I'm not trying to be overly sheltering, but I also don't need my child using that language at daycare.

Essentially, I love more paranormal style shows and I'm looking for something that's either already concluded in full or that has a distinct planned ending. My brain can't handle 200 episodes of catch-up or something that I put a ton of energy into that just....dies. Once again, I don't need it to be "kid friendly" I just need something that I'm not going to blush about having my kid in the car for or that isn't going to scare my kid awake during a nap with insane jump scare noises.

Skinner Mill Improvement Meeting

The city recently posted this:

"The Augusta, Georgia Engineering Department invites residents and community stakeholders to attend a Construction Informational Open House for the Skinner Mill Road Improvements Project on Thursday, August 13th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The public meeting will be held at the Warren Road Community Center, located at 300 Warren Rd., Augusta, GA 30907. This event will provide an opportunity for the public to learn about construction activities, the anticipated schedule, and traffic impacts. City staff, design consultants, and construction representatives will be available to discuss project details and answer questions in an informal, drop-in format. For more information, please contact Engineering at 706-796-5070. "

Does anyone know more about what people are going to walk into at this meeting? People are nervous in the area about their yards being eliminated, eminent domain being used to widen the road, etc. Additionally, I've never really gone to one of these here. Does the city actually listen to residents or is it all just lip service?

Struggling with some recipes in App

I have a bit of a hard time with some of the recipes in the app. A lot of times they will say that the recipe is okay for a 6-month -old, and say " cut to age appropriate sizing" for some of the ingredients, or not have any instructions on how to cut the ingredients. But when you then go to the guidance on that specific ingredient, it'll say only to give it in huge chunks for that age, which is obviously impossible in a recipe for muffins, pancakes, some soups, etc. I'm having a bit of a hard time because some of it just seems like it's impossible for that age group, and it is also really frustrating to constantly have to go to the individual ingredient pages to see what size to cut the ingredients to. Also many of the recipes don't tell you how to then serve the final product in an age-appropriate manner. Though that seems to be changing.

Low-mess Lunch Ideas

What are your go-to low mess BLW lunches for an 8/9month old? (Her pincher grasp isn't quite there yet). Pouches don't work at all for us btw and I'm trying to have more options than "puffs and teething crackers."

Teething 7 month old

My 7 month old baby just started teething. I noticed my nipples are a tiny bit sore, but I figure that's to be expected. This is my first kiddo, and so many people I know stopped breastfeeding when their baby started teething. I really want to breastfeed until she starts naturally weaning or until 2.

Help me out, tell me everything I should know about teething while breastfeeding and feeding with a baby that has teeth. Please and thank you!

Quick Cookbooks and Recipes from Existing Cookbooks

I'm a long time cookbook and "cook from scratch" lover. I've been obsessed with Ottolenghi and such for quite a while. Never used to shy away from putting in time to recipes. But, I just had a baby and I'm looking for some good cookbooks for weeknight dinners (one pot, make ahead, casseroles, crockpot, under 30 min, etc). I'm looking for some help with picking recipes from my current collection, as well as finding a few new cookbooks. My biggest problem is that so many cookbooks like what I'm looking for are just clearly AI slop or high AI-use bloggers that don't test all their recipes.

Looking for Pre-BookTok Era Recommendations

I've been burned too many times by booktok era books, so I'm looking for older books. Let's go pre-2020, preferably traditionally published though I'm open minded to some really good older style self-published books. If it's a series and started a while ago but is still continuing (like the All Souls Series), that's totally good with me!

Specifically I'm looking for books with adult female characters (preferably at least 25), not teens or barely legal FMC characters. Romance doesn't have to be open door, but I don't want sex shied away from (ie fade to black is fine, but not avoiding sex for weird artificially created reasons that are inconsistent with how most adult romantic relationships would progress). I want romance to be a key part (hence posting here in romantasy), but I do adore some deep lore and world building.

Mess

Okay we're just starting this process and already having tons of fun. BUT, how do you deal with the mess? Doing it nightly is a lot, but generally manageable. I can't imagine doing this multiple times a day though. I especially can't imagine doing this in the morning before daycare.

First time being sick and breastfeeding, so I'm just looking for answers/advice. My LO (5 months) gave the household the plague. I'm talking violently ill in a way I haven't been in years. She's completely fine now of course. I primarily nurse unless I'm at work (where I pump), and always pump after I do her morning feed to put into my freezer (building up a huge stash so I can reduce pumping at work early). My supply obviously dropped from being sick, but LO is still getting enough. I also skipped my extra morning pump for the first time ever.

So here's where I have questions. How long after sickness until you usually see your supply get back to normal? Also, if I skip my morning pump tomorrow again because I still feel like crud, at what point do I have to worry about that affecting my supply to be able to do that once I'm better?
