first time trying konjac jelly

first time trying konjac jelly

I was worried about the texture, which is why I’ve put off trying these, but honestly it wasn’t off-putting at all! This pineapple flavor was pretty sweet and refreshing.

Hasn’t upset my stomach or anything, although I don’t know if konjac usually only has that effect in larger portions?

Either way, I’d say it was a successful experiment. What flavor should I try next?

minis review + cals

This was my first Crumbl trip in a hot minute! I picked up a mini 3 pack with Shirley Temple, Nilla Bean Float, and Cola Brownie. Calorie information is in the second photo - it annoys me that there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to access this info for the minis in the app, and I thought others might find it useful.

Shirley Temple Cookie - 7/10. The base cookie was super tangy, definitely my favorite part. The “grenadine” sugar, however, didn’t taste like grenadine at all. The icing would have been okay, if a little sweet, but in case you can’t tell from the picture, the buttercream on mine was kind of broken, so the texture wasn’t amazing.

Cola Brownie - 9/10. Perfect fudge brownie, chocolate frosting with an intense flavor without being too heavy. I would rate this even higher, but I really didn’t get much cola from it, so I’m not sure it really lives up to the name even if I think it’s a great dessert.

Nilla Bean Float - 5.5/10. I did get some actual cola flavor in the mousse here, which was nice, but this just wasn’t my favorite. The last time I got a skillet cookie, it was dry and crumbly, but this one felt almost wet and was really dense. The flavors weren’t bad, but it didn’t come together for me.

Overall, this was a solid week for me. At the very least, I was intrigued enough by the lineup to come, as opposed to the very uninspiring menus we’ve been seeing of late.

once again, the double standards go crazy

The ‘EDs are rare in males’ comment on the 3rd slide was what really set me off.

On a quest to find the best Reese’s snack

As a kid I never used to like peanut butter but as I’ve gotten older I’ve become a HUGE Reese’s fan. I was browsing the protein bars and saw this one today. Honestly pretty good, not too chewy like I find a lot of protein bars to be, and it had a good sweet peanut butter flavor.

Please let me know what Reese’s snack I should try next 🙏

TV snack

I haven’t been able to find Halo Top or any similar brands in my new area since moving. Spent 40 minutes going to 4 stores to find something I was willing to have and almost gave up on it but grabbed this instead and it was so so good :)

Fried tteok in garlic spicy sauce?

Bought these tteok fries at a Korean place near work. Covered in some kind of garlic spicy sauce. I was thinking maybe 500?
