Struggling to find a comfort zone the last few days so I had to reduce lighting. Showing leaf edge stress fro light I'm guessing as I dial down humidity going into flower. Not huge but overall shaping up nicely.

My temps are high so when exchanging cooler air from the lung room the humidity drops significantly as it enters the tent.

The lung room is 74°F 72% rh when it meets that warm tent air it expands instantly dropping the relative humidity.

Even knowing how the exchange works I'm still bewildered by it as it occurs.The humidifier runs non stop trying to hit target but never does. 🥵

In the winter I can keep the lung room at 62-65° then it's right in the fuqn slot. 💪

Volunteer/mystery strain slightly over done.

She was hung whole for 13 days, spot trimmed and placed into the box to dry a bit more.

Normally at this time buds sit cradled in a Walmart bag inside a closed paper bag but I had extra moisture so used a box to help draw it out.

I do this for a day or two to even out any moisture before the cure. I feel it keeps the jars more consistent.

Amended living soil mix peat center using SIP bucket. I keep the reservoir dry until the bucket lightens up. I go a long time without watering this way but covering the surface first couple weeks can help.

Only misting the soil lightly daily forces the roots to search down into the pre moistened soil layers.

I water maybe a tbs or two when required to prevent the top from becoming hydrophobic.

Dealing with environmental swings atm getting dialed in with the lights. In the side photo the heat stress from 18k lux was showing so I dialed it back.

Had a bottle of Jun turn to vinegar. I couldn't bare dumping it so I scratched my curiosity, just be cautious. 🤭

Test every few hours or at least once a day. Use a brush to see when the rust is loose. Or just use the liquid as a mild scrub. You could wet a rag and cover areas needing rust removal.

Test first and use at your own risk. Careful not to leave anything in there too long or it might also disappear. 😬 Was surprised at how potent this became.

2 years ago I germinated these dragons. Recently they starting throwing pups. I picked and started rooting them in cups.

I knew nothing about growing cactus. My bonus daughter gave me the fruit and I saved some seeds. Time sure has gone by fast.

I have clearly been using the wrong medium and probably the wrong containers as well. How do these look for their age? Any advice or criticism is welcome please.

I've stumbled to get them along this far but really would like to get serious. I desperately need a dragon specific soil mix recipe if you have a favorite you are using. 🤞

I live in Zone 3 so they will need to be portable for now. Eventually we hope to build a greenhouse. My dream being to someday fruit one.

I have googled mixes and repotted them 3 or 4 times over their lifespan. Every mix seems hot or too heavy holding moisture stalling them out. Am I being too impatient 🤔

When transplanting i notice they have very little for roots. What they have is traveling deep right to or towards the bottom never branching outward is this a normal rooting behavior?

The tiny sprout has twisted around growing right back into itself. Peeking back out in this position now for a couple days.

I will need to learn their soil needs better in the future. Will it survive or will another emerge from that new split to compete?

Still fighting heat in the lung room. Daytime temps on average 84°F. Roughly 74% RH fans are moving big air.

I noticed these leaf edges are getting a tiny bit stressed. Could it be from the extra air or heat, any thoughts?

This little 4 day old GorillaZ Auto seedling is battling the scorching tent heat, spiking at times up to 90 degrees the last few days. She is showing a tiny bit of heat stress, if you look closely you'll see it on the leaf edges. Overall the temps have leveled but what a ride.

Surrounded by living soil, nestled in a carrot of peat her journey now begins at 84F 75%RH 7200 Lux. Hoping to get just a couple more degrees off there soon.

Look at those leaves though, stretching out like wings ready to take off. These plants can be very resilient. Especially when all their environmental needs are met, but at the same time one thing falls out of place and we know that story.

Keep that air moving, bump up humidity, lock in VPD, get to know the chart it's handy, and keep the root zones cool. Those are my tools to help ride out the wave. What are your room temps looking like during these summer spikes? Let's talk high-heat survival tips in the comments.

I didn't know there could be this many seeds in a vial. Look closely I counted out 92 here. However there's one stuck up inside the inside edge of the lid. I noticed when putting then back in. In the picture before opening now I see it is popped out!! I just had to share this, somehow 😅 The little vial with 6 in there is the Fuel Truck Auto

Honored to be here. My order arrived safely Friday afternoon and this hairy ass Cinderella purple here won the coin toss.

First night was a shotglass of spring water w/cap of 3% peroxide. Sprouted around 2pm the next day. After rechecking and having to adjusting my soils moisture I filled living soil in the bottom the bucket. Then topped the 2nd half off with ocean forest and nestled the sprout in a funnel of dampened peat.

Pushed up yesterday morning. Today she got her wings, now we wait. I also have a Cinderella X Blueberry Fast sprouted 🤫😏 Very excited to try these. 80°F 72%rh 650w @ 6800 lux

They aren't very practical for pest control because they need so much food to keep going and for other obvious reasons. I did let him play in the Veg room while I did my chores. It's wild watching them hunt though—they are absolute apex predators, eating their prey alive while it attempts to escape their mandibles.

Did the shotglass of distilled water with a half a cap of 3% peroxide soaked the 2 worst looking seeds overnight and planted them the next day in a peat cone within living soil. 48 hours later under a dome and they popped 💪. Running 81° 76% Rh. 18/6 650w @30%

I ran these blue dream from a shady seed bank I've had issues with already I know it isn't anything like blue dream but my point is people are just shipping out random seeds to people stop torching the title lmao!

Early on they devoloped a Soapy smell and it really turned out strong in the end. Almost didn't care for it myself at first but after pressing at low temp she produces greasy oil at 160° the other made sugary carmel you can see the difference in the pic

That oil is difficult to collect was the hang up but man is it some knock out stuff. I pressed 2 gram buds and collected. .6g of concentrate. I keep a floor tile in the freezer for such occasions. I feel like the greasy one should live on somewhere is is this not a rare occurrence, any thoughts?
