So this is a problem ive been having for about a week now.
basically, after a super traumatic and emotionally abusive relationship with an irl person, i swore to myself that id never fall in love with a real person again, because i felt like it was a waste of my time, energy, and being in relationships with fictional characters was just better for me. that was last summer, some time in july of 2025.
well, its may 2026, and i have a crush on a real person, despite me promising myself that it wouldnt happen again. so now im confused and i feel like a fake fictosexual, and like ive betrayed myself for developing feelings for a real person. ive been struggling so hard with this for a week and i just dont know what to do or how to feel better about this. maybe its a sign im healing from the relationship i was in last summer, but idk. i just feel like a fraud.
