Alarm, and turning it off early

I have to be doing something wrong here, otherwise this is too stupid to be real.

The vast majority of mornings, I wake up way before my alarm. I have my schedule set up in the Whoop app. This morning it was set for 5:30am. I woke up at 3am. So, I wanted to turn it off so it doesn’t buzz me at 5:30am.

It turns off my entire schedule.

There doesn’t seem to be any way to just say, I’m up, don’t go off, but also keep my schedule going. Every modern alarm systems has this ability.

Is there something I’m missing, or am I doing it wrong?

I don’t need comments on why I wake so early. I’m working hard on my sleep problem.

Thank you

I’m probably doing it wrong, so just need some guidance.

MAPS Training Templates

I keep seeing a lot about MAPS. I have looked it up, but I can’t find anything on it. At all. The only thing I can find is people saying they love it. But, I can’t find anything details about its structure or how it works.

They are having a 2 for 1 sale and I’m interested in the 40+ and the Powerlifting templates. But, without even having a small peak into what I’m buying, I’m super hesitant.

Any insight?

Question about Saturated Fat

I’ve been on the app since its launch.

My recent labs showed an uptick in cholesterol.

I also did a heart calcium CT and my score was 23. So, I’m good.

I’m 61, Male, weigh 200 lbs, and strength train 3 days a week. I walk the other 4 days.

I started looking at the amount of saturated fat I eat. And one thing I noticed is a pretty large gap between what MacroFactor provides as a healthy amount of Saturated Fat, and what the dietary guidelines are from the American Heart Association. Im talking about the ceiling in MacroFactor. I know I can adjust it. Today, it’s set at Auto for the ceiling.

Right now, MacroFactor is giving me 28g per day on a little over 2,500 calories.

AMA says about 6% of total calories, which would put it at around 17g a day. It’s not a massive different but over weeks, months, and years, it is.

I’m curious on the body of research that set it a bit higher?

I know I can modify my ceiling. I’m just asking the question out of interest.

Often, AMA data can be older or something. I’m actually just curious where the line is here. As I age, things like this are important to me to pay attention to.

Thank you

Question About Fairness Regarding Gym Fees

My gym is great most of the time. It’s a solid Powerlifting / Strongman gym. I’m very happy there. However, the owner is trying to increase membership. No issue there. In order to do this, he is having more events at the gym. Both Powerlifting Meets and Strongman Events. He’s doing other things too, but it’s the events that are problematic.

He doesn’t announce that the gym will be closed for the event, even though it’s unusable. I message him asking him to tell me if the gym is closed or not. Saturday is a normal training day for me. And, I don’t like missing days. Saturday is my favorite day because I’m relaxed, I don’t have to work that day, and it’s just nice.

I feel like if I can’t go to the gym due to the event, he owes me a refund for those days. I haven’t brought this up yet, but I’m about to. It’s spring and it seems like there’s going to be a few days that I can’t go.

The only other gym, that is a comparable powerlifting gym, is a 20 minute drive and has a $25 drop-in fee. My current gym is a 5 min drive. I feel like he needs to minimally, pay the drop in fee.

The other thing I can do is change my schedule for that week so that I avoid going in on Saturday. But, again, I shouldn’t have to shift things around for this. They should be accommodating their customers, right?

Thoughts?

Lastly, I must be the only person thinking this way because otherwise he would be telling us that there’s an event and the gym will be closed. But, he doesn’t. I feel like I’m the only one raising a stink about it.

Again, it’s fine if he’s increasing the membership. I’m all for it. But, 1) let us know there’s an event that day, and 2) give us an option. If the event starts at 11am, just tell us we have to be out by 11 that day.

Looking at my data since December 2025, it said 4 days a week seems to be just right.

I was thinking of moving to 3 days just because people keep telling me that, i.e. my coach, my doctor, and in general just influencers that I pay attention to. Not idiot influencers, but people that are knowledgeable about pure strength training.

I’m a 61 year old powerlifter so pure strength is what I strive for. And, I keep getting the, “reduce your frequency for better performance”, but my stats say otherwise.

It’s nice to have data behind my decisions rather than just thinking I’m too old for 4 days a week of strength training.

My coach thinks I should be doing 2 days. Ugh! I’m just going to ignore that nonsense.

Note: this is just for strength training. I also do cardio on off-days. But, that’s pretty low grade. The main event is the strength training.
