Are closed emitter pistol red dots really worth getting for CCW?

I currently use a DPP and it sits really high on my G19 so I am looking for something smaller. Is getting a closed emitter optic make that much of a difference? I was looking at the Holosun EPS or the Vortex Defender ST.

How do you meet people in your area? How mcuh do you tell people?

I have no friends or family to geek out with over prepping. I talk to my family about some preps I do, but I can tell they are not interested. So, they know where I keep the flashlights, food, and other simple prepping stuff is located. But I would like to talk with people in my area about prepping. I am also fairly new to the area and would like to talk with locals to see what I should focus on. My question is where do you meet people with the same interest as yours? Then, how do you know if you can trust them?

It's sad to see the mentality of some JWs about their lives.

I have been out of the Borg for about 10 years now. I found myself recently around many JWs while visiting a sick family member. One of the ladies was saying how the new system needs to come already because she is sick of feeling old. This lady is in her 50s, despite what some people say, that isn’t that old! She is in great health for her age. (Most JWs I have met complain about real health issues and why they need the new system to be here so they can feel young again). She could be taking advantage of her health but instead she chooses to complain about it. Her daughters and her grandchildren are not in the borg. So, with her saying that does that mean she would rather be young then spend time with her daughters and grandchildren? So many JWs are in such a rush.

Do you have anxiety when you can't carry?

My family loves to go to large events like sports games and concerts. I have gotten very used to carrying everywhere and now I am uncomfortable when I don’t have my gun with me. I know I am not the only one. Do you avoid these events or go anyway?

Advice for snappy little guns

I carry a hellcat because so far I can hide it and I can carry it all day comfortably with the type of clothes I wear. Of the small 9mm handguns I thought it was the least snappy. I really wanted to like the Shield but damn that thing did not want to stay in my hands. The 365 was even more snappy for me. The hellcat was the best of the snappy guns. I am an ok shot, but like a lot of people, I need more practice. I have the issue of anticipating my shots about 40% of the time if I take my time and 90% of the time if I try to speed up. I try to dry fire to help with this. But when I go to the range the fist shot it bad because I know there is a live round. I'll shoot almost a foot low at 15 yds sometimes because of the shot anticipation. This is primarily a problem with my little gun. If I shoot a glock 19 my shots are typically center mass at 15 yds. I choose shooting at this distance because that is the furthest distance in my house. I would like to be a good shot at this distance. Anyway. I don't know how to get better with the damn little gun. It seams like no matter how hard I grip when I take the shot the gun comes out of my left hand and anticipate so much because I know it's snappy. I dry fire daily to really get familiar with my gun. I am not seeing improvements.

I can't handle the heartbreak anymore. Every time I play this game I get so sad that I won't find out what happens. I want to know where the story goes and it just irritates me so much every time I play through the game. I have played through maybe 8 times now. It is by far my favorite game ever.

Previously my longest fast has been 3 days. I was shooting for a longer fast this time of hopefully 14 days. I usually weight train but for this fast I decided to go on daily 2 mile walks instead. I usually walk 4 days a week so these walks arent new. I have been drinking 2 liters of water daily with 2500mg salt 1200mg potasium and 400mg of magnesium. I have been sleeping 8 hours.

I have been having daily headaches since day 4. I am physically exhausted. Bringing my groceries in was tiring. Everything is hard to do. Should I wait this feeling out to see if it gets better?

Previously the longest I have fasted is 3 days. I want to fast again for as long as I can. Right now I am 5 days in. What has been your biggest jump? I am strict fasting btw just water and some diet soda, occasionally gum.

I keep seeing post saying "consult a healthcare professional" before fasting longer than 3 days (water fasts). Two questions about this,

  1. Is everyone actually seeing a medical professional for their long fasts?
  2. Who do you talk to? I can't imagine my primary care doctor would recommend going through with fasting.
