Restrict a follower?

Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if there’s a way to restrict a follower from seeing my activities?
There’s this guy from my run club that has been following me for a while, but he became a bit creepy over the past few months. I managed to mute him so that I don’t see his activities, but I’d like to also restrict him from seeing my activities. Since I’m seeing him almost every week at run club, I don’t want to remove him from my followers, because he’ll notice quite fast and I want to avoid having an awkward talk.
Thanks!

Free spots with stairs to enter the lake

Hi everyone,

Do you know of any spots by the lake that are freely accessible and where one can use stairs to enter the water?

I know that Strandbad Mythenquai & Tiefenbrunnen both have them, but the entrance to the Badi is not free. I also know that Oberer and Unterer Letten would be free and also have stairs, but unfortunately I can’t swim in the Limmat at the moment.

I’m also open for options a bit outside of Zurich :)

Thanks!

Glacier express without seat reservation?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently injured and can’t walk without crutches and it’s slowly driving me insane.
I have a GA so I‘ve been thinking that instead of doing nothing on the couch, I could at least enjoy the views from a boat or from a train.
I’ve been thinking about taking the Glacier Express. However, I noticed that the seat reservation fee is CHF 56, which is quite high. Since seat availability is visible online and I live here, I’m super flexible to go last minute whenever there are still seats available. There currently seem to be a lot of free seats for the next week. However, from the information online, the seat reservation is mandatory.
When I took the Panorama Express a few years ago the train conductor told me that even though seat reservation is mandatory, we could just show up and get free seats if there are any left, to avoid paying the fee.
Has anyone ever tried this with a train like the Glacier Express or Panorama Express?

P.S.: I know that there are regular regional trains that take exactly the same route. If there’s no way around the seat reservation fee I’ll probably take those :)

Girl Dinner is basically what I had for dinner growing up

While growing up we’d always have a cold dinner, mainly bread, cheese and charcuterie, sometimes a salad. When I moved out I switched to warm dinners. But now I’m staying at my mom’s for some time and it’s back to eating girl dinner, except we call it “Vesper” or “Abendbrot”, and now the bread is homemade.

Several addresses on Swiss Post Account

Hi everyone,

I’m currently staying at my parents’ house (which is also my old address) and not at my own place for several weeks. I placed 2 online orders this week to my parents’ address and they both were returned to the sender before they even reached the right canton. Has anyone had the same issue in the past?

I suppose that the issue is that my parents’ address is not the same as in my Swiss Post account. Therefore, I’m wondering whether there is a solution to add a second shipping address somewhere in the Swiss Post account? I couldn’t find anything on their website. How do people do it when they have a chalet or another address somewhere, does Swiss Post also simply return parcels to sender?

What’s quite strange is that I still regularly receive letters to my parents’ address & also received a parcel from Swiss Post recently. But now suddenly there is an issue with an order that is rather urgent.

Thanks!

I can only eat what I’m served 🦿

Last week I posted about a post job interview meal. Just shortly after I fell while I was on a run and I unfortunately ruptured something in my knee. I can’t walk without crutches and basically need help for almost everything. Luckily I’m at my mom’s place and her and my brother are there to help me with stuff. But I hate being dependent on people and ask to bring me whatever it is I need. And I’m not big on the food they’re eating usually. I know I’m complaining on a very high level because the situation could be much worse, but I’m so used to living alone and I wish I was able to prepare my own meals. I’m also still waiting for my first ortho appointment and hopefully I’ll know more about the recovery / healing timeline then. It just really sucks too because sports was the one thing that kept me mentally sane recently as I was already on a sick leave from work and then got fired and I fell on literally the second day of good weather, and I was really looking forward to chill by the lake/river and go swimming. Now I’ll probably have to wait months to be able to walk again and god knows how long until I’ll be able to run and go cycling again 😪

Post job interview girl lunch

I just had the first job interview after months of applying for a new job 🥳
I had some leftover black beans from when I made arepas this weekend, but that wasn’t gonna be enough, so I had a separate snack plate 😋
The cheese on the bigger plate is a Portuguese cheese I got during my holiday there, but it turns out it’s not my taste at all sadly :(
