How necessary is mifepristone? Would you wait till you can get some if you only have access to misoprostol?

Please be kind, I’m having a terribly rough time rn

[x-post from /miscarriage but can’t figure out how to x post properly sorry]

I’ve just had my second MMC. For my first one (April 2026) I took Misoprostol and passed everything at around 8 weeks.

Here I am again, roughly the same scenario, 8 weeks again but sac measuring 6+some days and nonviable. I live in Texas and have been prescribed only misoprostol but denied mifepristone because of state laws.

All I’ve been reading about suggests that mife+miso is the best route for meditation management. I have some out of state travel coming up to a sane state in a week and a half and have been told it’s medically safe to wait, but not medically necessary. Should I wait until I can try to get Mifepristone? Is it worth it? I really don’t want to go through a D&C. I’ve just turned 35, I feel like I’m running out of time. I’m so distraught. What would you do?

Help me with my dates. Pretty sure I’m miscarrying, but OB says it’s too early to diagnose. I need a reality check.

LMP was 6/18

Ovulation confirmed via ovulation test strip was 7/4

Last time we had sex was 7/5 (hubby was away for two weeks following 7/5, and then I started to have symptoms and haven’t been in the mood)

Tested positive on 7/15

Was supposed to be 7w+3d (by ovulation tests, 7w+5d by LMP) on 8/11 when I had my ultrasound, both abdominal and transvaginal. At ultrasound I was measuring 6w+0d with the comment “too early for heartbeat”. Note that ultrasound was through my primary not my OB and I didn’t get the results until the evening of 8/13.

I faxed the results to my OB this morning, 8/14, and she called back and said that I wasn’t having a (necessarily) miscarriage and that she will recheck me on Tuesday 8/18. I have a follow up booked with planned parenthood this afternoon (because I want to start the pills right away) but the OB recommended not going because it would increase my anxiety. But like come on. This is definitely a loss, right? Don’t sugar coat it.

Anyone see anything? 11 DPO, had a miscarriage in April and in my second cycle TTC following that. This was not fmu and was like the second little bit of pee I could squeeze out after the urge to test just struck me lol

Where to donate clothes in FW?

I need an easy dropoff, preferably near downtown, that will take donations of clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, other household items. I need a thrift store that takes donations, as well as just like a charity that takes things that may not be sold at thrift but could potentially have use for a shelter (I will pre-sort items for what goes where).

I also have some nicer items I am planning to sell. Can anyone recommend a good clothing/accessory sale place?

2.02 carats, NATURAL, SI2 with only feathering wisps, triple excellent, L color, beautifully bezel set in 18k yellow gold. I love it SO MUCH!! I’ve wanted a bezel set ring since I was a little girl, but people always tried to talk me out of it. I’m so glad I went for it!

Ring size 6.5

I am looking for suggestions of where to shop for a men’s wedding ring. I’m not familiar with the typical brands for men’s jewelry and I’m just not quite sure where to start. I need a ring within a three weeks, and will likely have to order it for his size, so someplace able to accommodate a quick turnaround is important!

If it matters, my fiancé likes a pretty masculine style, and is wanting a wider band, gunmetal color white metal color, since everyone only wants to comment on this part apparently…, brushed, possibly with a beveled edge.

Thanks for the recommendations :)

I am planning to wear these cowboy boots for my wedding (under a long wedding gown, so they won’t be super visible). The toes are a bit scuffed however—they are about 15 years old. Is this something that can be repaired or minimized? Would I just bring them to a boot repair place? I’m unsure, because the material does not seem like the type that would typically be shined or whatever. I’m just not super knowledgeable about this topic and am looking for advice. Thanks!
