Hello all. I’m coming back to Athens soon for school and am excited to get back out in the surrounding nature. Last year I looked desperately (to no avail) for some predators and am looking for some tips from locals on where and when to look. Specifically im looking for coyotes, foxes, opossums, raccoons, badgers, mink, weasel, fisher, skunk, otter, bobcats, and bears (last two are a long shot ik). Sorry if this is an odd question but it was kinda hyper specific so I didn’t know where else to ask. The closest I got last year was someone’s house cat on the bikeway. And don’t get me wrong I love the deer, squirrels, and groundhogs you see everywhere but I’m looking for something new. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Edit: should say I’m limited by transportation (I have none other than my legs) and am trying to photograph these animals.

Hello everybody! Recently I’ve been thinking of a budget upgrade to my current wildlife photography setup which is an R7 paired with the RF 100-400. My main issue I’ve found so far is lack of range since I mostly shoot birds but also love to shoot any and all other animals. I’ve heard some people recommend the 100-500 but it’s a bit expensive for my tastes. I’m relatively new to photography (started two years ago) and am looking for something under 2k USD. I’m not afraid of 3rd party or used if it’s going to be better and fit more comfortably in that number. Any help is appreciated thank you!!

Edit: To be clear I’m keeping the R7 just want to swap lenses

This question may seem random/unrelated but in my personal experience collecting militaria for years whenever I tell people about it they will sometimes make an offhand remark about “ghosts”. Usually I just laugh this off as I’m not a believer myself and nothing remotely weird/creepy has happened to me when collecting militaria despite me sleeping in the same room as all my stuff. But it got me thinking if anyone actually did have a “paranormal” experience with militaria. Sorry if this isn’t the average kind of post on here but I didn’t know where else to ask haha. Anyways would love to hear what y’all think

I know in a lot of other fields of collecting it’s super frowned upon to open sealed items and I’m wondering if militaria is the same. This idea came to me just because I saw a sealed gas mask and wondered if I’d be “tainting” it by opening it
