Decision time!

I had been debating this wall paper forever in my head. Anyhoo… finally went and bought it. It’s going to be only on the wall marked X. The rest of the room needs to be painted. What color would you pick?

What color stencil?

I have this stencil ( from the 1st pic) that I want to use on the walls of this bathroom. I don’t want to change the current base color which is a light grey. Not because I love it but just coz it’s too much effort right now.

So what’s the color you would recommend the stencil paint be? First I though maybe a bright white but then I think the grey will swallow it.

Thanks for your recs.

Question about payment

This may seem like a naive question but we haven’t done this before so seeking advice here. My family in India is selling some land to an individual. We have never done this kind of transaction before so would appreciate any inputs.
The question is : how is money transferred to my family? At what stage of transaction does that happen? There is no cash involved.

Edit: additional info - land being sold is in Uttrakhand.

This advice from the seller?

I bought a pretty in pink Eden , which came in a small quart pot. But I have never heard of waiting 2 weeks for putting it in the ground? I am in zone 5b if it matters.

Roses in zone 5B

I have planted nearly 15 roses this year … some bare root some own root and some potted. And they are shrubs as well as climbers. All of them are said to be hardy enough for my zone.

But I would like to ask all of you experienced folks if there is something I can do to get ahead of the inevitable bugs/disease issue.

I have read a lot of on what to do when something does happen but what’s your advice to prevent these bugs/diseases or it’s just something to deal with as it happens ? Are there any preventative measures / sprays/insecticide that I could start on right now?

Fence Question

So I’ve moved into this house a few months ago and I have a question about the fence. The fence I have is a wooden one which goes all the three sides of my property. My neighbor has a metal fence on the sides that are not adjoining my property.

The neighbors are not really the friendliest so I’d rather not ask them but what are the chances that the wooden fence is not a shared fence but all mine?

The reason I ask is, I wanted to put some climbing roses against the fence and I would rather not have them questioning why I did it if it’s a shared fence.

Request from a Zone 5 grower

This is a part serious and part not so serious request to mods and fellow posters.

I am new to this sub. And new to growing roses. And have recently changed my growing zone.

My request is that all posters should post their growing zone on all posts.

This is so that I don’t die of envy every time someone posts some gorgeous bush or climber while I sadly look at my scraggly growth in zone 5.

If I know your gorgeousness is in zone 8b I will console myself that atleast we don’t have excessive heat and humidity!!

Thanks! 😀

Which will be used more?

Or which will be more conforable and also fun. A patio swing or a rocker. It will be in a shaded area. For the life of me I cannot decide which one. No kids in the house.

So I had planted this bare root climber last fall And I had thought that it didn’t make it thru the winter but its just coming back to life ! Should I fertilize it now or wait a bit?
