OMFS said there’s nothing he can do 🤯

Just wanted to share, as i’m mentally losing it!

This is how i’m currently looking. have done an at home sleep study with results coming back with 3.6 AHI. Spoke to an OMFS and he said as sleep study results are as per normal there’s nothing he can do.

I do have a referral to another which i’ll be going to!

With my head with correct straight posture (Discussed with my chiropractor) I struggle to get any oxygen at all.

With my forward head posture I find myself moving my bottom jaw to get air or just straight up open mouth breathing.

Got an in Lab study tomorrow! Has been 12 months now back and forth between doctors so far, hopefully I can get some answers soon 🤬

Hey guys, looking for some advice or similar experiences.

I’ve been dealing with a mix of symptoms that I feel might be airway or jaw-related, but I’m not getting much clarity from doctors so far.

Symptoms:

Recessed chin / flat facial profile

Breathing feels more restricted when I fix my posture (stand/sit upright)

Frequent sinus inflammation (even though CT scan came back clear)

Sleeping 7–9 hours but waking up unrefreshed

Low energy throughout the day (desk job, nothing physically demanding)

Under-eye hollowness + undefined jawline

What I’ve done so far:

At-home sleep study → came back “normal”

Saw an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon → did dental X-ray + sinus CT, didn’t assess airway at all and said it’s probably stress-related

I honestly felt brushed off and like my concerns weren’t really looked into properly.

Current plan:

Going back to my GP for a referral to a different OMFS for a second opinion

I also have a referral for an in-hospital sleep study but haven’t done it yet

Questions:

Has anyone had a “normal” at-home sleep study but found issues in a lab study?

Could this still be something like UARS or a structural airway issue even if scans look fine?

Should I be pushing for specific scans/tests (CBCT airway analysis, sleep endoscopy, etc.)?

Anyone had similar facial features + symptoms and found a solution?

Appreciate any insight — just trying to figure out if I’m on the right track or missing something.
