While watching the new video with Vinny, I was reminded of the failed podcast from a couple of years ago. What annoyed me the most about the podcast was seeing Justin and the Screenwave gang every week.

If he had a revolving cast of guests, it could be more interesting. Start the podcast series off with Mike, then move on to other guests in either the retro gaming world or even the movie world if he can find people.

Do it in person though. Rent a studio, or fuck just set up some desks in the Nerd Room with two mics and a laptop or two. Pat does this shit inside a house if I understand right. James could do it too. I might watch if he can have some variation in guests other than Justin.

If you have to have Justin on, at least have a rotation so it's not always James and Justin every time.

Anyways, I don't expect James to read or listen to any of this, but he is plenty capable of starting a mildly successful YouTube podcast.

Hello. I'm trying to get 2 rooms connected at either Excalibur or Luxor. I see it's an option through the online booking to request a connecting room for $20 a room.

Has anyone ever tried this? If so, did the system actually give you a connecting room once you checked in through the app at the property, or did you have to talk to someone to make the connecting rooms happen?

Around 2010 to 2014, there was always something interesting to watch with AVGN, Board James, and James and Mike Mondays. It was probably my favorite YouTube channel up until 2014. I enjoyed James, Mike, Kyle and Bootsy and thought they all had good chemistry.

Fast forward to now, and James is 80% retired and only does one video a month, or every two months, where the script is probably written by someone else. He barely does anything creative anymore.

Mike is a successful Twitch streamer, and I'm sure James still gets the AVGN footage off him in the times he even bothers to do an episode. It's still sad that we never see the duo on camera together in the same room. They couldn't even get together in the same room for the channel anniversary. That's sad. It's what...a 3 hour drive one of them mentioned once? My God, it's not like you're making that drive every week. It's the fucking anniversary of the channel that saved both James and Mike from having to work at McDonald's. The least they could do for the fans is get together a few times a year to relive the old days. Perhaps make a "special" James and Mike Monday here and there.

Kyle is probably embarrassed he was involved with any of this, which is understandable. I still wish he'd show up once in a while. Maybe pop up in a future AVGN episode to play the theme song.

Whatever caused the riff between Bootsy and Mike sounds too big to fix, and that's sad. Imagine how many episodes of Bootsy Beats we could have enjoyed.

For some reason James thinks it's a good idea to use Justin as his on-screen guest in recent videos. Why? No one wants to see James and Justin on screen. He's not going to replace Mike.

It's been a fascinating downfall for Cinemassacre. I don't think James will ever call it quits, because if he needs money for his family, he will make a new AVGN episode. However, the channel is clearly a shadow of its former self. James isn't young, but he's not 80 either and he's still capable of doing great things with Cinemassacre, or better yet how about go chase your dream and make another fucking movie. It's sad.

Hi. Where can I get rid of an old laptop around Livermore, or somewhere close? I'm hoping I can just drive to the place and drop it off.

I don't regret the $500+ tax purchase (I got the $100 teacher's discount).

The MacBook Neo is a good laptop as long as you know its limitations. My main purpose has been to use this Neo as my outside laptop when I'm in coffee shops or traveling elsewhere. This is a replacement for my aging MacBook Air 2020 with an i3 processor. I also have a separate gaming laptop, which is a Lenovo Legion 5i and its like carrying a brick.

Positives of the Neo

- Screen looks good to my eye. I don't notice or care about the absence of True Tone.

- Battery life is great. I can fall asleep to YouTube running, and it will still be running videos on autoplay when I wake up, even without a charge.

- Build quality is excellent. I feel like I'm holding a $1,000 laptop, even though it was $500.

- Brave web browser runs smooth with multiple tabs as long as I don't have anything else running. I have noticed some slight slowdown if I try to do other stuff with Brave up. It's not a huge deal. I've been told Safari is optimized for Macs, but I prefer Brave.

- Feels light. Again, perfect for taking it outside to different places.

- In terms of gaming, I'm realistic about what it can do, but I will say I've tested out some Nintendo emulators and it will run SNES and N64 games. It also ran Golf With Friends off Steam with zero issues. Again, no one is playing Elden Ring on this thing (I don't even know if that's compatible with Macs), but retro-style games can run fine.

I'm confident I made the right decision in getting the Neo, rather than searching for an old M1 or M2 Air.

Hello. I've been working on resetting my old 2020 MacBook Air with an i3 processor. For some reason, the "erase all content and data" button didn't work, so I used recovery mode and Disk Utility to erase the hard drive and reinstall the first OS that came with it, Catalina.

Is that it for the reset? Are my old files definitely gone and I can give the laptop away safely?

Hi! There's going to be a 3DS meetup at SoCal Gaming Expo on Saturday June 6 at 6 p.m. in Pasadena. I'm not sure how big the room is. Hopefully it can accommodate everyone.

Come for the StreetPass, or we can play Mario Kart 7 or Smash Bros. 3DS.

Hello. I have the first version of the 2020 MacBook Air with i3. I was thinking of trying something different.

I own a separate gaming laptop with Windows specifically for that purpose. The MacBook Neo or Air that I purchase next would be for lighter use.

My No. 1 question. Is the A18 processor on the MacBook Neo better than the i3 on my MacBook Air? If so, I might give the Neo a shot.

Every old show seems to eventually come back for a reboot. Do you think Kyle and Bootsy will come back one day for a special Cinemassacre reunion show?
