Is there a similar feature to Dolphin's "ubershaders" in other emulators?

The thing I can't stand about emulation is the shader compilation stutter. I can handle low resolution/fps, but if the game stutters like crazy for the first hours I simply turn it off. Ubershaders in Dolphin is a godsend and is one of the best technologies I've ever known. If there's a similar function in other emulators I'd be beyond happy. I'm not really up-to-date with emulators these days, so can someone chime in and tell me what stutter prevention features there are nowadays?

I hope the random encounters are unique and don't get repeated

I'm currently replaying RDR2 and the only thing I don't like about it is how over time you start seeing the same random encounters over and over again. This really hurts the immersion and I thought it's a weird thing for such a perfect game otherwise. I'd prefer just having nothing over repeating the same encounters. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen in GTA 6.

Dashie should live stream the GTA extended look

I don't keep up with all of his videos, so maybe he already said it, but do you think he'll live stream it? It's a pretty big event and a lot of youtubers/streamers are jumping on it, so I'd love to see our boy's reaction. Given his history with GTA, it's gonna be pretty funny

I'm so happy they didn't pull any punches when it comes to the explicit content

This seems to be the most explicit GTA game to date. One of my biggest fears was that this one might feel a bit sanitized, because of the times we live in and the changes at Rockstar over the years. But based on the latest leak, I’m really happy to see that they're pushing things even further this time.

That also makes me think we could see full dismemberment, which would be a pretty wild step up. Honestly, pretty much every choice I’ve seen them make with the game so far has been spot-on, and that has me more excited than ever for the final game.

Looks like vehicle damage is going to be very detailed.

When the car gets hit on the trunk, both places get visibly dented inwards, on top of having scratches. I know this is probably a given, but seeing how downgraded GTA 5 was in that aspect compared to 4, it looks like this time we're getting very detailed vehicle damage.

One of my biggest hopes for GTA 6 is to be full of hidden encounters/mission chains that rewards exploration.

RDR2 had some of this, but I hope GTA 6 leans even harder into that design philosophy. Having more side missions discovered organically, with minimal guidance, feels like the natural evolution of GTA's world design to me.

I’d also love to see missions buried deeper within world activities - for example, missions tied to properties, races, businesses, or other side activities. Reaching them would feel much more satisfying because they’d feel earned and unique rather than simply being another marker on the map. It would be even better if some of those missions affect the main story too.

And it shouldn’t stop at missions. Weapons and unique items that meaningfully change how you play could also be hidden throughout the world. I just wish GTA had a more creative reward system for players who put the time into exploring and participating in its activities.

GTA’s open worlds are always a joy to explore, but most of the time, there isn’t much to discover beyond collectibles. What the open world really needs is interesting, meaningful stuff that actively encourages exploration. Give players more reasons to investigate a strange location, try an unusual activity, or simply wander off the beaten path, and the world will feel much more alive.

All in all, I hope the game tries to blur the lines between missions, activities and exploration. That's what I feel like the true evolution of the GTA design is. The possibilities are endless and I know a lot of this is just wishful thinking, but this being Rockstar's biggest and most expensive game, one can only hope. Maybe they'll show us what the gameplay loop is gonna look like on the 27th, fingers crossed.

Who else is excited about this part? The missions in this game are gonna be something else...

I just replayed GTA 5 in preparation and the missions in that game are still really thrilling and fun. Even today, few open world games can match the set pieces of some of the missions. I can't even imagine what they have in store for us in 6. Judging by some of the scenes in trailer 2, we're in for something really special.

Please enhance the photo as much as you can. AI is allowed, but try to retain the faces/face expressions as much as you can. Thanks

I hope that car theft is a more involved mechanic that you can get better at as the game progresses.

If they're really going for the most immersive GTA experience, I think car theft should be something we gotta work for (at least at the start). Maybe we gotta have certain tools for it or do it when there aren't people around. That would add so much value to the cars and make us take more care of the ones we own. Of course, as the game progresses it should become more trivial, like at some point someone teaches us how to break windows or something. What do you guys think?

I suppose I should start hating one of my favorite games - What Remains of Edith Finch, because according to the internet it is not a game, just like Mixtape

Sorry guys, I've been illuminated by the internet saints and from now on I will no longer like this game, because according to the "rules" this isn't a game. I can't believe I've been such an idiot for liking this game all this time. Why am I still calling it a game - it's everything else BUT. Moving the stick, looking at the environment and discovering the story on your own obviously doesn't count as gameplay. We've all been lied to for years!!!!

So why exactly is Mixtape getting hate?

Walking simulators/interactive movies have existed for a long time and there clearly is an audience for this type of games. What exactly makes Mixtape the outlier? An IGN review? How is that the game's fault? I genuinely don't get it.

Personally I've been waiting for this game since the reveal, because I like the soundtrack and the vibes it's going for. I've always known that it will have very simple gameplay and I don't care at all, because I don't come to these games for the gameplay. Sometimes I like to relax and play something short, simple and memorable. I feel like every game that comes out nowadays is being watched under a microscope from basement dwellers and attacked for the most ridiculous reasons.
