Vintage Sneeze Guard

Back in 2000 or 2001, I was working at a Subway. The store I worked at remodeled. It went from the 1980s style, wood paneling below, upper was the brown NYC Subway print.

They also had two of these glass sneeze guards that were attached by brass posts. They removed them and replaced with the bubble glass, that was popular at the time.

They were going to toss both of them. I took one and a coworker took the other. I later learned his got broke within a year. 25+ years later, mine is still here. I've always wanted to get it in a frame and hang it.

Edit: I forgot to add, it is 15" tall and 48" wide.

Quality of Ariat Jeans

What has happened to the quality of Ariat jeans? I've been wearing them for several years now and really like how they fit.

I noticed the quality start dropping about 2 years ago. It started with after 6 months; I'd start getting a hole in the crotch area. Then I bought a pair June 30th this year. The new pair ripped in the seat near the pocket after 20 days. Not even a full month. On the 24th of July I returned them to the store for another pair. It is now August 8th and I just noticed a rip in the seat of these pants near the rear pocket. Just over two weeks and another hole.

I do a lot of walking for my job, but I'm not doing any hard work. I don't have an ass that would be putting extra pressure on the pants. You would think at $85 for a pair of pants, they would last longer than 2.5 weeks. Hell I thought 6 months was bad enough.

I don't like the fit of Cinch. I guess I'll just have to go back to Wranglers.

My living room and entry in a 1912 house.

I just wanted to share my living room of my house. The house was built in 1912. Really the only thing new in here is the Leg Lamp. It does stay up all year long and is on a timer to come on in the evening and shuts off around midnight. The TV is from 1985 and still works. I do have a roku stick hooked up to it as well as a DVD player and VCR. The wallpaper was in the house when I purchased it and it goes great.

The last photo is of the entry way just off the living room. That is an Atwater Kent radio from 1927.

Living room and entry

This is the living room in my 1912 house. The first four pictures are of how I had it arranged, until recently. The last four are how I rearranged it. What do you think between the two arrangements? Do you think that a third option is better? I really don't want to get rid of any of the pieces of furniture in there. I will eventually change out the rug, but for now it will have to stay.

The last picture is of my entry. The spot I'm standing at is where the pocket doors are located in the living room pictures. That is an Atwater Kent radio from 1927.
