What do you put in a Christmas stocking for a 93 year old lady?

I just found out my 93 year old grandma has never gotten a stocking so I want to get her one this year. What the heck am I supposed to put in it though? I’ll probably put scratch offs, maybe some soft socks, a gift card, nice bubble bath… but I want to put some thoughtful or fun things in there too and cannot think of anything.

Looking for Bridal shops for a wedding dress under $1K

I’m on the hunt for a wedding dress and it seems like most shops around here start at $2K or more, any brides in this community that can recommend a bridal shop with options under $1k?

Wedding Dress shopping question

I'm planning on doing a whole day or two of actual dress shopping with my family and bridal party, would it be acceptable to go before hand alone just to try dresses on to get an idea of what I want? Do boutiques get mad at you if you do this? Do they consider it a waste of their time if you don't really have any intention of getting a dress?

Should I not tell them I'm not planning on buying anything today, just getting an idea of what I'm looking for?

What's the etiquette here?

Sheet pan dinner rant

I am so sick of following recipes where people put their potatoes, veggies and meat on the same pan and say “okay cook for 30 minutes!” BUT THE MEAT IS ALWAYS COOKED BEFORE THE POTATOES AND VEGGIES???

How does theirs come out cooked perfectly??? My potatoes are never done when the chicken is done, and i cut them SMALLER than the recipes suggest. It’s in insane to me that people can cut small round potatoes in half and put them on a sheet pan at the same time as their chicken and cook for 30 minutes and apparently their food is all done at the same time. I cubed my potatoes up and they’re CLEARLY not even close to being done after 30 minutes.

I THINK THEY ARE LYING!!!!!!!

Anyone know any barbers/stylists that can cut a man’s curly hair?

My bf has curly hair and has gotten it cut a few times since we’ve moved here, but no one he’s gone to has been able to properly cut it. They all cut it way shorter than he asks, practically buzzing the bottom and just giving him volume on top.

In other words, he hasn’t been happy with anyone he’s gone to.

Any curly haired guys or gals in this thread that can recommend someone to go to for a good haircut that actually knows how to cut curly hair?

Can someone spoil a fic for me?

So I’ve tried to read ‘If They Knew All About You’ by MsHermia like three times and for some reason I keep stopping before 100 pages.

This fic is highly recommended and it’s Bio son Peter (my favorite trope) but I do not know why I keep stopping it and then forgetting what happened at the beginning.

Can someone spoil the fic for me?

How is the relationship between Peter and Tony?

Is Peter the type to embrace the relationship or avoid it at all costs in this one? (Fics where Peter just avoids Tony and the relationship for plot annoy me so badly)

How long does it take for them to find each other?

How is it 500K words like what is the general plot?

If there’s some big plot twist don’t spoil that but I think I need some encouragement to push through this fic

Laundry coming out with spots on it

Hi guys, I’m new to this thread and having laundry issues so firstly: if anyone can point me to like a general tips and tricks post/thread that would be so helpful.

I wash sorted loads, about medium sized loads (and have used both a top loading and now a front loading washer), i do not use much detergent, probably a 2 second push of the button on the big detergent holder into the loading tray, wash the clothes on normal and add 2 extra rinses and I STILL get little dark spots on my clothing.

I suspect this is dried detergent, because another wash and they come out. And the spots aren’t different colors, it just looks almost like an oil spot, but it comes out with another wash or hitting it with the oxi clean stain remover spray.

I’ve tried smaller loads, less soap, more rinses and I don’t know what’s going on or how to stop this. My partner and I are getting frustrated with the spots showing up on our clothes. Does anyone have any feedback or know why this is happening? What am I doing wrong?

This has happened with a new washer before too, so while I definitely think I need to clean my current washer I’m not so sure that would be the reason for this. (.-.)

[10k] What's a reasonable amount of money to spend on invites?

I'm finding some really pretty invitations on Zazzle (not sure if this is a good place to buy them) but for like 130 invites it would be around $180-$200.

This doesn't really seem that bad to me, but I have no idea what's reasonable when it comes to wedding prices.

What have you guys been doing?

Looking for specific fic, description below

Hi guys! I was looking through the Peter&Tony archives and came across a fic that I can’t find anymore!

I think the summary was something like Tony “hired” a child Peter to act like he was a great person to scam the media. That’s not a lot to go off of but I think the summary was something like that if anyone would know which fic this is!
