Basically I'm asking how long (in general) I can afford to spend faffing about exploring, grinding rep, & so on, before I need to start building up my PHQ & station production factory chain?

While I'm at it, can I deliver the supplies for the upgraded Hyperion subsequent completing the initial DLC mission, or do I need to hold completion for when I have them?

Is there a setting or mod I can use to disable the automatic docking request when you fly to close to a landing area?

Or maybe a mod to reduce the range at which it's triggered?

I read something, somewhere, that seemed to imply that donations to the temple you belong to generate faction rep (at 2k/pt), so I donated a 100k to the Temple I jointed, but I'm not sure if I'm making any progress (using DOSBox, so with only 6 saves, I don't know exactly when I joined, or made my donation for that matter)?

When is the earliest I can enable KE without the Getsu Fune Heretic's End quest taking precedence?

Do I have to trigger Squidwards station leak first? Complete the enire quest? What?

Playing Daggerfall DOSBox (from the "DaggerfallSetup-3.2.0" package from the UESP downloads), I could swear I used to be able to just double-/multi-click (double-click was somewhat flaky IIRC) on conversation topics (with NPCs) to get their responses, but since I reinstalled to move it to a different location this hasn't been working...

Am I crazy, or did I break something that's fixable? (and if so, could I get a hint on how?)

 

Caveats:

• Yes, I did play Daggerfall Unity a little, but I want to experience the game properly without all the improvements (also, a cursory test seemed to show that spell leveling works slightly differently).
• I am now using "Eye of Argonia" (for extra draw distance) on my saves, which I don't believe I was doing on my earlier test runs (trying out alternate builds before I really get stuck in).
• I've also played around with the "DosBoxDaggerfall.conf" file get a larger window in windowed mode, whilst still approximating 1080p in fullscreen mode, but reverting back to 1024x768 didn't fix the problem.

Playing Daggerfall DOS (Steam, & DaggerfallSetup versions, can't remember if this applied when I tried Daggerfall Unity) in the room on the same level as the throne, where you go if you right when facing the throne, that contains the melee Orc, if I approach the large Skull & activate in it's direction (from any side/angle) I get the message "You are too far away", but when I get closer nothing happens.

Am I missing another secret door or something?

(ETA:) Initially neglected to mention I'm looking at alternative methods to potions.

So my research indicates that DFU adjusts Spell Absorption so that you recover at most the SP it would actually cost you to cast a spell.

This suggests that as your Destruction goes up, what you recover goes down, specifically when it would cost you 5 SP to cast Ice Storm, using an item to cast it would therefore only allow you to absorb 5 SP per use?

Would this also apply to the Haarvenu Vampire Ice Storm, since casting apparently also has a 5 SP floor?

What about the aforementioned Haarvenu at a lower skill level getting the clan discount to cast Ice Storm, so only paying 1/4 of what their Destruction would otherwise dictate, do they get the full amount back, or only what they actually spent?
