Granted I’ve only tried the Le bijou (one of my most favourite sticks) and la opulencia. This one I’m not a fan of AT all. Super harsh and bitter tasting to me. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this one?

Hey friends!! Just wondering if any of you guys have had the misfortune of cigar beetles…. I got a “fresh pack” sampler from the Index a few days ago and upon closer inspection it looks like 3/5 of them have been chomped on by beetles. I’m not 100% sure but it’s sus AF. I was also wondering if you guys think I have any chances of a return/refund with them? Cheers

I (29Y F) long time lurker, never poster have never been able to make it past 2 weeks max clean. My time in active addiction was only for a short span of time around 1.5-2 years and it was extremely frightening how it spiralled so quickly. Of the many things that frustrated and upset me in this time was I was working so hard for my money in healthcare whilst getting abused on almost a daily basis by patients - for me then to go abuse myself and flush that hard earned cash down the toilet. If I were to guesstimate I’d have lost at least 35K and maxed out a credit card. I’m horrified at that but keeping positive in that it could’ve gotten much much worse. It only took x2 trips to ED for heart issues and then a back injury at work, as well as smashing up my car in a 2 week period. I’ve been off on workers comp for the injury for 8 weeks and it has been so healing for my mental health. I’ve been able to recommence my actual hobbies of video games and cigar smoking, as well as going to some live gigs and catching up with friends (very hard with shift work) I had one lapse at the beginning of this time and it actually bored me!! I’m hoping on my return to work I can keep up this progress. My heart goes out to all of you that are hurting. Just know that it is possible, and you got this. One day at a time
With the rise of AI and the reliance on it by the general population, one major concern of mine is the next generation/s of nurses and doctors we will work with who use and rely on LLMs such as chatGPT to research and complete their coursework and training. I’m concerned of its impact on their clinical practise and critical thinking abilities. Im concerned of the impact this will have on our patients. I’m curious if anyone else shares these concerns of mine? I have further questions below for target areas:
To the students in this community - are your cohort or yourselves using it for this reason?
To the clinical facilitators and uni lecturers/instructors - are you yet seeing major knowledge gaps and inability to research, apply knowledge to practise, and think critically?
To fellow nursing staff - are any of you yet seeing these effects as above?
Conversely - does anyone think this is a good thing and is pro AI in healthcare?

After a few weeks of rest, I finally get to try this bad boy and I’m very much loving it so far! Had Don no. 2, 3 and 4 as well as some other Fuente sticks arrive today. Can’t wait to see which one I like the best
So tonight I was unfortunate enough to find out about 7 of my cigars are drying TF out and some getting sick. This is following the common 65% rh rec in tupperdors. I’ve found some of my recent smokes haven’t been as flavourful as well. However it is getting down to 16c where they’re stored atm. I FREAKED out and slammed them with 69% stockpiled from orders and am hoping it’s not too late to save those precious oils 🫣 what % are you lot running in yours?

After a series of unfortunate events that has been my life, which culminated in injuring my back on my last night shift just 2hrs before I was due to go on A/L. Here’s the good, and bad.
The bad: this resulted in 3 cooked discs, and tonne of pain and weakness.
The good: my leave was recredited, and I’ve had an additional 5 weeks off. I’ve caught up on some very needed sleep, and have time to focus on physiotherapy.
But the best part? (Albeit extremely expensive) I’ve rediscovered my love for the hobby of smoking cigars, whilst also having the time to do so! Safe to say I’ve gone a bit too nuts on ordering and making up for lost time, but I’m pretty stoked on these hauls and more is on the way.
If you guys have any suggestions for budget friendly cigars (shits astronomically expensive in aus) of both Cubans and new world alike I’m keen to hear em! I’ve been more of a Cuban smoker, so I’m especially interested in exploring more NW’s.
