Part of me feels like >!628’s pod at the end of 627’s episode!< was a throwaway joke, but given how Leroy was never designated until merchandising in the late 2010s-early 2020s, part of me has an unsolvable curiosity regarding his apparent predecessor.

As someone who has been keeping watch on the Item Shop rotations for a long time, I wanna admit that with this new season, it's kind of hit a quite a low, at least from what I've experienced.

Here are some observations I found with how the shop is currently set up:

- Battle Ready (aka the daily rotations) now has Kicks take up a spot for an entire week, and they each come with Outfits loosely resembling them that leave every Thursday and Sunday, and bundles that last for 3 days or so.

- Stale collab returns (Horror characters again, Icon streamers, franchises that have only been gone for months)

- Rare collabs such as Kratos, Attack on Titan and Resident Evil continue to be ignored

- Vehicle bundles that stay for a week returning on Tuesdays and Sundays (Ram 1500 RHO was only gone for 45 days)

- No Sweat is permanent, and it's the same rotation of cosmetics, which are primarily female outfits used by comp players

- Icon emote tab (formerly Victory Vibes) changes name every 2 days and only rotates 1 row, with said new row lasting 4 days

- New collabs are available for a week to approx. 10 days, with some lasting at over 2 weeks to almost a month

- Festival Headliners' shop cosmetics now stay not even half as long as their respective season

- V-Bucks shrinkflation

I spent years waiting for Naruto to return, and I got my wish back on November 30th, 2025. Nowadays, I just buy whatever interests me, which is very little because the shops are much more stale than they've been before.

So, the Mastery Monday boosts have been enabled, but I am hearing bot lobbies still don't have the other Sprites obtainable.

If this is how Epic will treat its' casuals, I may as well stop playing the game after 5 years and spending so much money on it.

There has never been any occurrence of this specific collaboration having a purchase window <5 days. Tonight, the pointless celebrity Icon skin hogs the shop for TEN DAYS, not leaving until April 30th.

Why does this goddamn skin have to stay for so long when Resident Evil has yet to return after 3 years?!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!?!?

I spent almost $200 on this specific plush on eBay and wound up getting refunded after being messaged that the item was damaged.

Is there anywhere I can purchase one that doesn't border at $300+?
