Wife wants a knife for utility and everyday tasks.

So my wife wants a knife to carry with her for everyday tasks. I've offered to let her try some of mine, primarily small EDCs like the Kershaw Bel Air and Iridium, the CRKT M40 (specifically for its deadbolt lock, which I know is on several other knives they have), a Kizer Militaw, and a few small fixes, such as the CRKT S.P.I.T. and Kizer Drop Bear Fixed. Even my simple Leathermans, such as the Wave+, Rebar, and Signal (don't have a skeletool... yet).

For anyone who is not a cisgender heterosexual male like me, what do you all carry? And for anyone, what might you recommend? I will say she does have small hands, so not looking for something big and beefy.

Looking to add some Spyderco to my collection.

So I got into knife collecting last year, growing out of my DIY, Cooking, and Leatherman collecting hobbies, and I'm hoping to pick up a few Spyderco knives this summer (looking at the PM2 and Manix primarily). As I have been browsing, I've noticed an abundance of aftermarket parts for Spyderco knives. While I plan to leave some of my Spydercos stock, I would like to mod a few of them, so I have a few questions.

  • Besides Flytanium, are there any other parts brands y'all recommend?
  • Any particular mods you all recommend?
    • I don't plan on modifying any Salt versions I get.
    • Given that Spydercos are designed to be easy to use by feel more than by sight, I am mostly looking at illumination mods to help during blackouts (a regular occurrence where I live during tornado seasons).
  • What are the most underrated Spyderco Models that are not for a very specific use case?
    • I see a lot of threads here on the best models for various circumstances, but I want to ask this question with a twist.

The recent announcement of the new Star Fox game reminded me a lot of this fan made gem.

While I was in school for one of my associate degrees, a YouTube creator I have followed for even longer released one of my favorite Star Fox fan videos. It borrows heavily from the original SNES version.

For years, this was what I wanted to see Nintendo do with the franchise, whether it was a new release or a remaster. And honestly, I think they finally did that with this new release for Switch 2, combining the look and feel of this video with a grittier style over BOTW and TOTK.

Even with some obviously pre-fabricated assets, it still looks great even today. Has, anyone else seen this video?

Just watched the Direct, which was announced on Nintendo Today. Dear Nintendo... shut up and take my money!

Also, I like the look. Star Fox benefits from a far darker and dirtier look. It’s like a cross between BOTW and Star Fox 1080p.

I am looking into getting a Litter Robot 4 for my cat and ordering a camera mounting bracket to mount a webcam to it to monitor his litter box use. Has anyone done this? Will the Eve Cam be able to mount onto this bracket? If I have to make a trip to the hardware store for additional parts, that's fine.
