Cool story with this one. I’m sure most know I’m a huge RT enthusiast. A fellow RT enthusiast with a shared fondness of paisley posted a selection of his collection all of which was amazing with some great vintage pieces in the mix. I get a request for my address because he wanted to thin out the collection and send a “few” to a good home.

I go to mail to find a ginormous package stuffed to the seams! This tie was one amongst many RT treasures and a few surprise pieces!!!

My pocket square to tie ratio is not great. Tried this but I think the look is almost better without. A plain white square would be bland. A plain blue too matching. So what are other color/pattern options to pick up the tie color without too much distraction?

My tie to square ratio is admittedly not good, so I don’t have many to choose. Thought I’d try this square with this tie since they’re both pretty simple patterns and there is a touch of blue in the paisley to pick up the blue in the tie. Which look is better and recommendations for a square type that might work better?

A favorite of mine. Love the texture and chunkier knot it provides. Added pocket square today.

My first Eton tie. Overall I like the tie. I was expecting more of a red color, but it leaned burgundy. Trying it with my burgundy suit since casual Friday, but I don’t think the shades play well, so it will likely get paired with blue or grey next time…but I’ll survive the day.

Trying a sport coat ensemble for casual Friday around the office. Might ditch the pocket square - it was the only one I had that had lavender tones to pick up the lavender tie.
