Does anyone else HATE the generic "How are you?" social exchange?

I work in retail, and honestly I dislike being asked 30+ times a day "How are you?" when greeting people. It feels like being held socially hostage.

"How are you?"

"I'm good, you?"

"Good."

-and then they walk away. No point in it whatsoever. The same generic response over and over and over.

Even when I just greet people with "Hello guys!" they will immediately bark out "GOOD, YOU?" and I'm left feeling awkward.

Ive tried to use different replies, spice it up, but it seems everyone (mostly older folk) default to this exchange all the time. I hate it.

[Canada] Landlord got complaints of mildew/mold in the Laundry Room...

This is an older post from my last Rental Unit (I broke lease and got out), but sometimes I open this video and chuckle to myself.

I wish Unknown weren't so miserable to play :(

That's it. That's the whole post.

I hate being punished by missing ONE of my very dodgeable, very predictable projectile that seemingly bounces where it feels like.

I hate how easy my counter-play of "stare at me" removes the hard work of getting the UVX shot, punished by if I miss a single time, having to re-do the entire thing.

It just sucks. He is my favorite Killer by all time and he feels so miserable at any kind of skilled or higher MMR. :(

Lots of exciting things teased and revealed in the 10th Anniversary Stream.

Updated graphics! Dynamic weather! More Walking Dead and Silent Hill!!! Scooby Doo??!!

.... But still nothing about one of the more popular characters in FNAF, Foxy.

Had the movie spoiler by someone in public.

I hate this fandom sometimes.

I'm at work, ringing up a customer when they noticed I had a Kinger patch on my jacket.

They were a bit awkward and stumbling over their words a lot, but their face peaked up when they noticed I was also a fan of TADC.

They started talking about the show, their favorite character, and suddenly brought up "Oh, did you see the movie got leaked?" I told them yeah, it was unfortunate and I was avoiding the Internet for a while since I already pre-ordered my ticket for the movie.

... They then immediately go "That's cool, I'm sad that ______________________ happened." and I was just so dumbstruck. I sat there staring at them for a minute and asked "... Why? Why would you tell me that? I just said I was avoiding spoilers??" and they simply went "oops, my bad. Have a nice day." and walked away.

So that was great. For anyone who avoided spoilers online, maybe avoid talking to customers/random people in public about the show. 🙃
