Whats a good first location to build a base just got the game and looking for a good spot, so far just been collecting material so can start a build.

Just wanted to see what people would vote for, either ill go a two handed pike fighter or a mace and shield approach depending.

So I like spears so so far my build is soldier helm, mercenary jacket, and soldiers boots, with spear and facebreaker shield so far it's good and havent died to offten in PvE or PvP arena, is the soldier boots redundant cause of the mercanary healing? What are your thoughts?

Wanna play the mace I know its a more tank weapons that or hammer, anyways new to gane and like the look of then what would be a friendly starting out build for somthing of the sort wanna pair it with a shield if can or torch, what would you suggest? Why wanna play it cause in every game I play always like blunt weapons and have just always stuck to them.
