Veneered camera grip

The leather grip on my cameras was beginning to peel off and I didn't want to buy a new one. I always wanted a wood grip and I had some sheets of raw veneer leftover so I figured why not give it a try.

Boy. I could not get this shaped for my life. I figured I use her leather as a reference template but it's not exactly the shape since it was stretched to fit the area.

I had to do it twice and at the end needed to use a Dremel to sand it to shape. I went over on the sanding at the bottom but im ok with it.

Honestly .. it not being perfect kind of adds to the aesthetic since the camera body is already worn..but ultimately I still like how t ended up.

New grip (ish)

This was the neewer grip for the Zf. The leather was peeling off so I decided to replace it with ebony veneer.

Was a pain to shape it it to match the curvature but I liked the way it came out.

Honestly if the leather ever peels off on the body I might just veneer that too

How to prevent sagging on this door?

I installed this door about 2 years ago and it sags at the top due to the weight of the door leaf. Finally getting around to trying to fix it.

I asked AI on how to address it but I wonder if I could also just add a turnbuckle tensioner horizontally to connect the two right side posts together. Would it help? Or is the best way really how AI has it suggested ?

Voigt 50 f/1 for Zf?

Ive been eyeing the voigtlander 50mm f1 for my Zf for quite a while and I'm not sure if this is 100% the lens thata for me or if I should be shopping for a different one itself.

Im only do photography as a hobby. I currently own a TTartisan 50mm f1.4 tilt as my first experience with a prime lens and I love the experience.

Many people talk about the voigts as lenses of "character" and that the lack of AF is a big negative for a lens of this price.

I find myself not really caring 100% for perfectly in focus shots or for something as clinical as what people would want. The TTArtisan 50mm is definitely not a lens I would praise for it's sharpness at all so I feel like the voigt would naturally make up for it. Im also getting used to the ZF focus assist for MF only lenses so I think I can get over the non AF concern.

I love shooting low light photography so the a lens in f1 sounds very interesting to me.

Is there another lens out there, within or below the price range of the voigt 50 f1 that I should consider before going for it?

Cleaning dryer vent. Is it okay if I vacuum from Point A instead of B?

I'm part of the lucky group that has a stacked dryer/washer setup and im not able to move the machines myself.

I know it's best to vacuum from Point B, but reaching that clamp is really hard to get to. I'm pretty much working blind, but point A looks really promising.

Is it okay that I disconnect from point A and vacuum from there ?

Can't tell if this was a chip or not. It's at the inside edge where the rear hatch and lift gate is so I'm not sure how it happened.

Could the touch up be enough to fix it or do I need to sand and reapply?

I know it's probably totaled, but Im gonna muster up the courage to drive it anyways

Storm blue paint. I just noticed this when washing the car.

Doesn't feel like a chip at all and at certain angles it almost looks like it's under the finish coat.
