Question about apprenticeships

Hi, so I was just wondering about apprenticeships level 4/6 as I have poor chances of getting a degree apprenticeships. Is it hard to switch careers after or to move into something else. As some people are saying to come study accounting and finance degree as it allows me to move careers later on in life. Would like to know.

20 male seeking advice

Hi, so these last two years I’ve just been working random jobs going from one job to another without a care in the world no clue why I do regret it now was just having fun I guess and dig a big hole for myself. What I want to know is, is there any chance I am able to apply for apprenticeships still or are my chances just cooked as I seem unreliable etc I’m looking to get into finance and I’ve applied for accounting and finance. I’ve been making my LinkedIn etc doing virtual work experience etc to try and boost my chances just before September rolls around but I was just looking for advice as I would like to catch back up with my peers and save 4 years of studying at uni.

Accounting and finance

So I want to do this degree at uni however my friends said to get into a russel group uni such as Southampton as my grades are a bit bad however I should be able to get into the uni through clearing, another uni i can go to is Surrey uni which is a lot easier for me as it’s close to home and reduces my debt as I don’t need accommodation however I don’t know which one to pick, and if the uni ranking matters a lot.

Advice 20 male

I just need help I’ve spent two years now working random jobs with no career progression. Didn’t go uni as I didn’t know if it was the right choice or not and due to my family not wanting me to go as well and rather get an apprenticeship as uni is all about partying etc in their eyes as we are Muslim. I’ve now hit that point where all my friends have their careers now and I and idk what to do anymore. And I know people say don’t compare but it’s extremely hard now as I try to not go out and stay at home but even then I get dragged out or my friends come to my house. I’ve really lost all my motivation stopped going gym and jujutsu put some weight on as well and just work part time now. I’ve applied for wuanittt surveying and economics but even my grades they aren’t the best as I did btec business got a distinction, btec information technology got a merit and a level economics and got a c. Just need some advice. And for any young people reading this please study hard make the effort now as it makes a big difference in life 🙏

Wanting to fix myself

Hi, I’m a 20 year old male, idk how to start this off but for the last couples years I haven’t changed at all. I’m the same person I was a couple years ago. Crazy, stupid and just acting wild. When I’m with friends I’ll just be screaming my head off or just trying to have fun but I’m at that point now where I’m just not going anywhere in my life I already see my self as a failure and that I will never catch up to my friends now. I’ve gotten so bad I’m just hoping on their downfalls which is when I realised I’m starting to just go in a bad direction. And I’m always comparing other people to myself and never working towards anything in the long term. I dont know if anything is wrong with me but what I’m trying to say is I want to change I’ve seen friends go from being like me to becoming mature and wise while I’m just lazy like I want to have a good job and the money but I just don’t put the effort in or just seem to find it too stressful which is why I just put in low effort and stick to simple jobs like warehouse and delivery jobs while my mates are becoming accountants etc. I’ve gotten to points where I just start crying my eyes out even to my dad. Idk it all seems messy writing this but what I’m trying to say is I want to change and be able to deal with stress etc I want to study quantity surveying but even the idea of doing it puts me off or I seem like it will be a breeze and I don’t want to spend another 4 years of my life studying to just then be put off by how stressful it is etc. this has only been realised now as a friend told me that I haven’t changed and I’m just playing the victim role. I need advice how do I change how do I stop comparing and whatever please 🙏.

How much do electricians make

I’m on the verge of either going uni to stu du quantity surveying or become an electrics both are good paths but I hear a lot of the time that electricians make a stupid amount of money from what I’ve heard when asking people and I just want to know if that’s true tbh, like are people just claiming to make 12.5k a year is that the reason why or is jt just that good of an industry.

20 male

So I’ve been working for two years now job hopping from one place to another, I know this is gonna sound mean but a lot of the people I work with are just dumb and I feel like I’m in the wrong place, I’m currently deciding whether to become an electrician or go uni for quantity surveying due to my dad being a property developer. It’s against his wishes mainly due to him being successful while having absolutely no education, my older brother landed and apprenticeship immediately so for me the pressure is on I’m already behind a lot of my peers and idk what to do at this point. If I was to study I’m scared about not being smart enough as my grades where c in economics, distinction in business btec and merit in information technology. A bit bad ik but I really want to turn my life around.

Looking for advice

I’m 20 years old nearly turning 21, in the last two years I’ve worked over 10 jobs from door to door, delivery jobs and multiple ware house jobs and a real estate job that I got fired from. I have no clue what to do with my life and where to go from here, right now I’m currently deciding between electrician or going to university to study quantity surveying but I really have no clue. Unlike a lot of people I’m quite lucky if I’m being honest my dad is a builder/ project manager and has done very well in his life, and I’m only chasing these careers as it’s a way to kinda just break into the industry in hopes of working with him and maybe talking over. I don’t really know if that’s the right decision to make or whether I’ve just become lazy and this is the easiest way to make money. I would really like some help and advice on what to do with my life. I really want to be successful and not watch other people leave me behind it’s such a shit feeling to see all my friends pursue their careers and do well while I’m just left behind.
