Opinions on Jack and Juliet? Underrated dynamic?
I’ve always thought Jack and Juliet had a really underrated dynamic. They didn’t get as much focus as some of the other pairings, but there was something about them that worked for me. Both were doctors, both carried a lot emotionally, and they seemed to understand each other in a calm way that felt different from Jack’s other relationships.
If Ana Lucia hadn’t been in the show, Juliet probably would’ve been the person I could most see with Jack. Their scenes together always had a quiet chemistry that doesn’t get talked about much.
Curious what everyone thinks. Did you ever see potential there, or did they work better just as allies?
I always found their dynamic interesting because it felt more subtle. Not loud or dramatic, just two people who understood responsibility and carried a lot on their shoulders.
EDIT: Also, I just realised this image is kind of ironic considering Through the Looking Glass 😭 two people separated by a barrier but still connected. Feels weirdly fitting for Jack and Juliet.

A new poster for “Your Fault: London” was shown at the Amazon Upfronts 2026 (May 11, 2026).
Two people who were lost… and could have found each other
There’s something about Jack Shephard and Ana Lucia Cortez that feels very LOST to me. Not necessarily in a traditional romantic way (although I love that too), but in how they meet - both carrying pain and guilt, trying to hold themselves together. Their interaction at the airport always stood out to me. It’s brief, but it feels like two people who understand each other without needing to say much. It makes me wonder… under different circumstances, could they have actually found something in each other? Or were they always just meant to pass through each other’s lives like that? It’s the way they look at each other that makes it feel like there’s something unspoken between them. ✨
I honestly can't wait for series 18, especially after the ending of 17. Any ideas for when it releases, around September time I presume?
I noticed that Jack says Ana's last name here when Sawyer says he didn't even know it, and it made me wonder how he would’ve known - some might say when they met at the airport bar, but Ana doesn't introduce herself with Cortez. She simply says Ana Lucia.
Jack: "So what's your name?"
Ana: "Ana Lucia."
It’s probably something that happened off-screen, but I’m curious what the most likely explanation is. Do you think it came from the tail-section survivors, or just general conversations after they merged? Or is it just one of those small details the show doesn’t focus on?
Lost does this quite a bit with off-screen information, so it made me curious how others interpret it. I’m leaning towards it being something that happened off-screen, but curious what others think.
