Alcohol and IBS advice

Does anyone else experience severe IBS flare-ups after drinking alcohol? I'm looking for advice because it's honestly unbearable sometimes.

Usually, 2–3 days after drinking, I wake up extremely bloated with what feels like trapped gas. Throughout the day, I start getting sharp abdominal pains that eventually turn into intense waves of cramping. The pain gets so bad that I feel like I'm going to pass out. I'll usually stay stuck in the bathroom, but barely anything comes out at first. This repeats until it eventually turns into full-blown diarrhea, usually 1-2 hours after the pain starts. I actually ended up in the ER 2 times because of this but they couldn't find out what was wrong.

I know the obvious answer is to stop drinking, and I've definitely cut back because of this. But I'm 21, and sometimes I miss being able to go out and have drinks with my friends without worrying about being in excruciating pain days later.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Have you found anything that helps prevent these flares or makes them less severe? My doc is starting me on Visbiome but don't know if they'd actually help.

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences!

any advice to help me get through this? :(

I honestly need outside opinions because I feel like I’ve completely lost perspective on this situation.

A few months ago I met a guy through Grindr. We ended up talking every day, hanging out constantly, cuddling, hooking up, going on drives, spending entire days together, kissing and going on dates, and basically acting like we were dating for around 3 months. Before anyone leaves a comment, I know everyone says that I shouldn't have tried with a DL guy, but he was very genuine at the time and kept saying how he really liked me and was confused cuz he'd never liked a guy like me before.

Throughout that time he kept telling me he wasn’t ready for a relationship because he wasn’t comfortable with being with a guy. He said he was confused, needed time, and wasn’t ready for something serious. At the same time, he would tell me he didn’t want me finding someone else, that he cared about me, and that maybe we’d figure things out in the future. I was really hoping we would end up together and I was so patient and understanding of his feelings.

What makes this even more confusing is that he constantly talked negatively about a girl he knew. He told me he hated her, said he only talked to her because she was struggling mentally, and made it sound like there was absolutely no romantic interest there. I believed him.

Then out of nowhere he started dating her.

So after months of being told he wasn’t ready for a relationship, he was suddenly in one. It felt like I spent months waiting around for someone who was never actually considering me the way I was considering him.

Even after he got with her, he kept me around. He would still talk to me, send me messages, and sometimes do things that felt incredibly insensitive. For example, he would send me snaps of them together cuddling even though he knew I still had feelings for him. It felt like he knew I was hurting but didn’t really care.

Eventually I found out he was still active on Grindr while he was with his girlfriend. From what I saw, he was looking to meet up with guys while claiming to be happy in his relationship.

When I confronted him about it, instead of owning up to anything, he turned it around on me. He acted like I was the problem for bringing it up. Shortly after I called him out for cheating, he blocked me on basically every platform. He made it seem like this was my fault and I was crazy and said incredibly hurtful stuff like how he never liked me and I was only a hookup, but throughout the months we spent together he was always saying the opposite. I'm pretty sure he told his girlfriend I was just some crazy obsessed guy instead of owning up.

What hurts the most is that I genuinely cared about him. I wasn’t some random hookup. I spent months investing my time, energy, and emotions into someone who would say one thing while doing another. I feel like I shouldn't have called him out or expressed how I was feeling so i could've left the door open for a future connection. Now it's closed and we have no way to speak with eachother. Except for the fact him and the girl are planning on moving into an apartment 4 minutes from me. I even was the one to try and apologize in the end because I empathize with him not being able to be his true self.

Now I’m stuck wondering if I was completely manipulated or if I’m just taking this harder than I should. Or maybe he was worried because he got caught and was trying to find any mean thing to say to me? I still miss the good moments, which makes me feel ridiculous considering everything that happened. I can't hate him and I just miss who he was when we were "together". I didn't want to end on bad terms. I'm so heartbroken

Ex situationship caught cheating on gf - do I tell her?

Ex situationship on Grindr while has a gf

Basically this guy who strung me along for months and acted like we were dating dropped me for his ex gf and ended up getting back with her. He said so many hurtful things to me but I put up with it because I was in love haha.

Recently I found him on Grindr but last month he got into that relationship with her. I called him out and he lied and freaked out and said the most hurtful things for an hour straight. Even swore on god and his dead relatives that it wasn't him. He ended up admitting to it but still was saying it wasn't a big deal and he was just on the app (even tho he sent nudes that were taken a week ago). He ended up blocking me on everything.

Would you tell his girlfriend? I'm positive he made up a lie and told her I was some crazy obsessive guy, because she doesn't even know he's fucked dudes before. It's not really my issue anymore, but idk what the morally right thing would be to do? I'll probably end up not doing anything because there's no point.
